Tuesday at 08:11 PM2 days Carter stuff is all over TV, so they DID DO what I had hoped for and posted. Took his money from Game 1 (converted to a suspension, so I assume he loses the game check) and then tacked on another $57k.

Tuesday at 08:14 PM2 days I'm surprised counseling wasn't part of his agreement given all the Twitter psychiatrists saying he needs it.

I know what he insinuated by it, but that turns into a he said/he said. He said he was spitting on the ground, others will say it was directed at Carter, you can't definitively prove it either way. Dak was smart about it, Carter was a moron about it. Move on and thankfully he wasn't suspended another game for it.
Tuesday at 08:22 PM2 days There was a lot I didn't like from what I saw of the offensive game plan and play calling. But I'm willing to give Patullo a pass on the running into heavy boxes stuff for at least a couple more weeks. Some of that can be mitigated with a dual play or check with me system. But it requires the entire offense to have the system and verbiage down pat and the play calls gotta come in on time so that they can get lined up and still have time for Hurts to check out of it if he sees the S walk down. Would it be nice if they already had this working well with a new OC for week 1? Of course, but is it something indicative of a systemic problem that can't be fixed like not having effective blitz beaters in '23 (a lack of alerts as part of the route concepts / play design)? Not yet.

Prolly waiting for the verdict on Bennett. The ten day break between games should give Bennett time to get schooled on the defense. I would expect him to get 20+ snaps.

I don't think it's coach speak; I think it was honesty. In the first half, the Cowboys, somewhat surprisingly, seemed to set back in zone coverage and did not stack the box. It was effective in wiping Brown/Smith out of the game AND in avoiding the patented Barkley 50 yard runs. But Hurts, Patullo/Siri, and Barkley were very patient. They relentlessly took smaller chunks in the running game, with Hurts' legs, and the short passing game. There were no big plays whatsoever, but they were patient, relentless, and they scored every possession. It was surgical and disciplined...and perfect. In the second half, the OL couldn't block. Steen mostly does his job in pass pro but isn't generating movement in the running game. Dickerson and Mailata were hobbled and weren't doing anything to make lanes for Barkley. At that point, the deep coverage was already working going back to the first half and now Dallas didn't have to worry about giving anything up on the ground. Boom. No adjustments or changes really even needed to be made for them on D and our offense completely stopped scoring.I think Hurts generally took what he was given, made the plays that could be made, and Patullo/Siri did everything they could with the calls and matchups to maximize their points.I really have no complaints aside to say that the offense is cooked if the left side of the OL doesn't get healthy. And if they do, they'll be fine.

Not yet.Hurts did very well against man, not so well against zone. So expect a stacked box with zone behind it.
Tuesday at 08:36 PM2 days With regards to the Tank trade...I like it for the Eagles. Those late picks are simply worth less to us than anyone else given how many we have. And stacking up on RBs, given how this team functions, is also worth more to us.BUT...face value...it's true that it was meh value. For all of Howie's reputation as this negotiator that holds the rest of the league hostage, we've seen time and time again that...once training camp starts....he does NOT prioritize winning on value when trading picks for players. He's willing to overpay. If you are a GM and Howie calls on draft day or the offseason, you probably shouldn't pick up. If he calls during the season, you might want to listen.

Tuesday at 08:41 PM2 days Hate to derail the football conversation here, but I have a dating question for the Blog. Have been out of the dating scene for a while now. Self-induced. Other priorities. But I feel like I met future Mrs.Iggles25 last week. The odds of our encounter were extraordinarily low. We've been on two dates. She is moving to NC from Long Island in 2026. She leaves for Long Island tomorrow and won't be back until November.Question: Will sex on the third date ruin this thing? That's were it's heading. I am on the absolute fence here. I've seen it play out both ways.Make fun if you will. My siblings and friends give me conflicting answers. Feel like there is quite the cross section of knowledgable minds here. I don't want to screw this one up.
