Think Za'Darius Smith will play inside like BG did and take some D-Tackle snaps. They will move him around the line. Gabe Hall should hit the practice squad, hopefully. Like to see more Ty Robinson and get him some snaps.

The signing of Za’darius Smith, who, like Brandon Graham, can and does play both inside and outside, makes either Hall or Young an extra body. It is interesting that it is Hall rather than Young who is being waived.

With that said, this has been the most active two weeks (since Cutdown Tuesday) I’ve ever seen … and I suspect it is by at least double the previous high.

I think Davis playing well has changed the calculus on the defensive line. If he continues to play at this level, how many snaps are left for the other DTs?

Mainly asking @just relax but curious about any thoughts of others as well

Too early to gauge much about that. How will his conditioning and endurance be through the season? Obviously having Carter back changes things as well, but let's see how Davis is doing by mid-season.

Dickerson: yes. Mailata: no. Jurgens: maybe. Dickerson had injury concerns when he was drafted.

But, these guys are warriors and as soon as they're ready they get out there. And both Dickerson and Jurgens powered through injuries last year in the playoffs.

I do want to see improved O line depth however.

Undersized meaning only Zadarius Smith could rotate inside. The others not so much.

He seemed to play better as the game went on, so I am not really worried about his conditioning. If he was out of shape, it would have been easy to tell. In previous years you could see him dragging by the fourth quarter, even if he was hardly playing.

Maybe the lightning delay helped him out. But man, he was dominant from start to finish, even though he was either lined up against an all pro or double teamed. If Carter can manage to not get ejected, these two guys could change how our whole defense operates, especially with Campbell out there.
