You are correct, the weather on Sunday was absolutely perfect for football. Thursday, on the other hand, had some lightning. lol

I’m fine with a retractable roof as concerts or lightning happen, just also design the necessary drainage so it can be open the rest of the time rain or shine.

  • They just announced the flight crew is from Dallas… So I yelled "GO BIRDS” Waiting for the Air Marshall to take me out

  • It’s really cool that the Eagles have become an antichoke team. A lot of that is that Hurts has the sideline disposition of a corpse whether it is September or the SB.

ESP doesn't even believe that take. But it got him the attention that he wanted.

Has there been a delay because of snow?

Not sure but I'm saying dont be surprised if it happens in the future.

Meant to say Thursday night.

I agree they could keep it open even if it rains or snows. But if the weather gets to be too much or there is lightning then just close the roof and avoid any delays.

Voila, Wembley but better.

Fair weather: open

Foul weather: partially closed, but field exposed

Lightning: closed

I agree with Joyner 100%.

It's never acceptable to lose to the Chiefs. I'm still pissed off about that 2023 Superbowl. That will always gnaw at me and want Reid and Mahomes on a platter. Want a total domination this weekend. Part Deux!

The only acceptable loss is when you have playoff seeding cliched, or the #1 pick is available with a loss.

It's just the direction things are going. There was 3 games this week that had weather delays i believe. Wouldn't be surprised if they start delaying more and more games because of excessive snow or rain.

Having a retracble roof is fine. You can keep it open when the weather is normal. For certain circumstances you can close it.

If the Eagles had a retractable roof this past Sunday there would have never been a delay and we would have beat their a$$ seeing as though we had momentum right there. At least i like to believe that.

All because of lightning. By October, lightning storms are extremely rare, except in Florida. They never delay or cancel games because of rain or snow. They only delay games because of lightning.

The potential for losing is realistic, but to frame the upcoming game as an ‘impossible spot’ is a bit dramatic. The 2025 Chiefs haven’t proven to be a juggernaut yet.

Welcome to soy boy ESP tweets that he needs to post after becoming irrelevant after his training camp tweets. Everything is hyperbolic and over the top.

Let me rephrase. "It’s going to be tough going into Arrowhead for their "home” opener with the Chiefs being down 0-1. A loss to an AFC team wouldn’t be the worst outcome all things considered, however this will be a good test to see where the 2025 Eagles stand around the league.”

Joe Webb and the nanny state disagree.

I'm not coming at you but I don't understand the whole spitting at the ground thing. He said he had to spit so spit over his lineman's shoulder, I don't see how that is spitting at the ground. All he had to do was point his face towards the ground and spit, if he truly wanted to spit at the ground. Just so happens Carter was directly in front of that lineman whose shoulder he spit over. Then proceeds to smile and smirk at Carter.

Carter was at least 15 feet away, and that’s probably being generous. Dak was in the huddle with his linemen, Carter walked up to him.

Dak baited Carter but it’s not as nearly bad as Eagles fans are making it out to be. Roles reversed, it would be embarrassing if the Eagles QB spit to the side to avoid the D-linemen walking up to him with plenty of field to go.

Without a doubt, should have been offsetting penalties (with Carter still being ejected). What Dak certainly deserved a taunting penalty compared to what Smith did to be penalized for taunting.

And lightning generally doesn't happen in Sept during the day. Just weeknights when the Eagles unfurl an new banner. 🤷‍♂️

Assuming Gore and AP get in, Fred Taylor is the only player with more rushing yards who isn’t in the HOF — and Henry might move past Taylor this week.

Glad the Carter situation was handled sensibly. NFL made sure to note that he was suspended a game to set that precedent, and he gets to play Week 2.

In the SB, I feel like the Chiefs sold out to stop Carter and Saquon. I wonder if they stick to that plan or try something else after the beat down they received

Spags has been dreaming up stuff the last 6 months. So has Andy. Eagles meed to go in with a plan they haven't seen and I expect them to.

If Jalen Carter would have shoved Prescott to the ground--an act that could cause physical injury--he wouldn't have been ejected or suspended. The refs would have ran over, broke it up, and threw an unsportsmanlike flag, if that. Shows you how nonsensical the NFL's view on what constitutes unacceptable behavior is.

Spags will play it differently this time around. If the goal truly is to make Hurts beat them with his arm they’ll blitz less, rush four, play 3LB to try to slow the run game, and use lots of two-high safety looks.
