So is tomorrow the first game of the season that's strictly on a streaming platform? I don't recall any in week 1

Wasn’t Friday strictly on YouTube?

  • It’s really cool that the Eagles have become an antichoke team. A lot of that is that Hurts has the sideline disposition of a corpse whether it is September or the SB.

If Ricks is off the practice squad, we may be seeing a new CB on the roster next. Seems like he's balancing out position groups between practice squad and roster. I just can't see Fangio starting Jackson this Sunday. Dropped Ringo after 1 bad preseason game. And has not been complimentary at all of Jackson since training camp. Waiting for the other shoe to drop here.

Browns schedule to start season - Cinci, Ravens, Packers, Lions, Vikings, Steelers. Maybe when they are 0-4 or 0-5 they will trade us

Given that the NFL is moving away from a real preseason, I would submit that it might be better to formulate the schedule of as follows:

Weeks 1-5: Inter-conference games

Weeks 6-18 Conference games plus bye

Saving the better ball for the games, where the tiebreakers are more important.

Another thing about the schedule that I think is weird is playing your division opponents like 3 weeks apart. Like Giants - Other team - Giants again. They should make it where you play all 3 teams in each half of the season, spread it out. I know scheduling is probably tough so there are reasons why it might not always work out, but in recent years they've had to play the same team twice close together.

Missed that one since it was on Friday lol

I saw a different video earlier but then couldn't find it to post here, so I found this similar one instead. (The other one had more examples). Apart from slapping Kelce, Tart made other impact in batting down Mahomes passes. Mahomes uses a lot of 1 step drops and short/quick passes, so Tart was batting the ball down rather than trying to pass rush and get the sack.

Yeah, I would say play the division set in OCT and DEC to spread it out. I don't like division games scheduled for Week 18 (JAN) as more times than not they are meaningless.

Oh yeah. In the long term, I have faith Howie is going to strike with a big name by the trade deadline. In the interim, may look for a street free agent after he has no choice but to boot Jackson off the squad. For now, Bennett is a bit too handsy, but is at least competitive and is next in line. For this to be a Superbowl team that definitely needs urgent attention, as guy will need to acclimate fast in a complex Fangio defense. The sooner the better.

Maybe it’s just the stubborn, now ‘old’ purist in me, but i hate the idea. I also have this notion that might be wrong that all ‘retractable’ roofs tend to stay closed more than open due to ‘wear and tear’.

Though, if we went that route…fans would break the decibel record the first time it’s closed. I don’t think it would even be safe to be inside there.

I posted the stats of NFL retractable roofs when Lurie was talking about the new stadium.

Texans-197 games at Reliant Stadium, 49 have had open roof.

Colts- 146 games at Lucas Oil, 25 have had open roof.

Cardinals- 166 games at Reliant Stadium, 22 games have had open roof.

Falcons- 68 games played at MB Stadium, maybe 3 games have had open roof?

Cowboys- 139 games at AT&T, 25 games have had open roof.

716 NFL games played at stadiums with retractable roofs.

124 NFL games have had the roof open.

Retractable roof=DOME.

At least Bennett will compete and force the officials to throw a flag, as opposed to Jackson giving a 10 yard cushion and still getting turned around and out of position.

Interesting that they had the option to bring Gabe Hall back to the PS, but they decided to bring Sykes in instead. So Gabe Hall goes from opening day 53 to no job. I'm sure he comes back at some point.

He hasn't cleared waivers yet.

The last PS spot is going to be a revolving door. I wouldn't be surprised if they brought in this guy just to practice today and then bring in Hall at some point and by next week bring Ricks back.

I don't think it's that simple. Is Burrow a better passer than Hurts? I think so though Hurts has a very good long ball. Is Hurts a better runner than Burrow? I think so. Is Hurts better at running the Tush Push? Hell yeah. 😂

Is Hurts a better leader? Absolutely

Agreed. Howie is getting Sykes a weekly paycheck … Ricks too.

I thought Hall was part of the reason they traded Booker?

We knew, and Howie and Vic and Christian knew, that Bennett was very handy. It takes time to coach that out of a player. For some players it never happens.

All due respect to BG, but do we need yet another athlete podcast? Can't these guys just do rotating appearances on one podcast? I'd be much more inclined if BG was a weekly guest on Chris Long's podcast or if he joined Reub and Dave on their podcast once a week. There's just too many out there.

Bucs beat Chiefs pretty badly in the SB. Granted Chiefs didn't have any tackles

Way back I thought Kelce and BG would be fun, but I didn’t even think of Travis (and I think he’s a tool).

Literally proven true in Brazil

Goedert sprained his knee vs Dallas and may be out Sunday vs the Chiefs, but not considered serious. Dude's a great player, but made of glass man.
