ESP says on WIP right now Goedert has a knee sprain and he is likely out against the Chiefs.

They really need a backup TE. Goedert is really good when healthy but that is only half the time

Goedert is made out of glass. Good player but always injured.

This is why they didn't want to bring Goedert back. They just didn't find a better option.

Would take a TE like Max Klare out of Ohio State at 32 in a heartbeat in 2026. Goedert is great when he plays. But it is time to pass the torch.

It's a sad state of affairs when 35 year old Zach Ertz is out-snapping and more productive than Goedert.

Weird how differently Goedert's college and nfl careers have been with injuries. Pretty sure he was never injured in college.

The problem is that the performance of the recent annual crop of TEs are heavily weighted toward receiving skills and in many cases with no blocking skills. Our Offensive scheme works better with a TE who can do both. As others have said, Howie simply couldn’t find one of that rare breed.
