He blocks worse than Ertz when he's inactive.

Well played sir.

The most important ability is availability.

Was it ever legitimately reported by a beat guy that Shipley broke a rib?

Smith chose Eagles because of Big Dom.

No. No one should follow that Eagles Times twitter account. It is always making stuff up and yet it keeps getting a bigger and bigger following online.

I am aware that the long timeline may be fake. But before that, we thought his rib was broken. Im trying to remember where that report came from.

If it were really rib related, they might say intercostal strain, rather than oblique. This actually sounds like he just has a strain of his oblique which is fantastic news.

Tank isn't a fullback

I think it is hilarious that a 231 pound RB (BVS) is a FB for a 233 lb RB, Barkley, or 247 lb RB, Dillon. Did you watch BVS as a blocker? It was ugly. I don’t think Tank would be worse. I played in the Veer and Wishbone times. Our rival ran a Wing T. Every back blocked, including the QB in the option. Based on what I have seen, Tank is a better runner than BVS. Of course, he isn’t a FB, but neither is BVS at this point. Much better, if we want that type of blocking is Granson as a HBack.

FB is where the player lines up. Traditionally a FB lined up fully back, the halfback was halfway back and the quarterback was a quarter back. In the I, the FB flipped with the RB. But accept for a straight ahead into the line play, the FB, like the HBack or the TE are blocking on the move. Tank is plenty big and plays with enough force to move block. Pretty much most of those blocks are to seal an edge or more likely a LB or S.

That said, Tank is not a FB but I think he is better than BVS (who I like for his try). Better vision, probably a bit worse hands (as a receiver). Same try hard attitude.

He leaves me cold. Hemingway too. For Whom the Bell Tolls is unreadable. Orwell, Hammett, Chandler, Kafka, Graham Greene, Borges, Garcia Marquez, Joan Didion are more my speed.

Are there any legitimate beat guys around anymore?

It's a long season, so if Dickerson/Goedert need to miss a game then there's no reason to push them. I saw Brett Toth play, so we have to manage Landon. If Goedert doesn't play, at least we'll stop these terrible 3 TE sets.

Is it true that Barkley rejected the golden NFL badge on his uniform after 1 game?

Looking forward to seeing Mahomes try to tackle Jalen (”face off”). Someone please take Fran to a hockey game.

Always liked the custom Z facemask that Za'Darius Smith wears. He's brought it to Philly.

He hasn't cleared waivers yet.

The last PS spot is going to be a revolving door. I wouldn't be surprised if they brought in this guy just to practice today and then bring in Hall at some point and by next week bring Ricks back.

Absolutely. I expect there are ten or so guys that are on and off the PS depending on need.

Forgive my ignorance. What is the golden badge and why should I care?

It's new this year for the MVP, Offensive POY, Defensive POY, Offensive ROY, and defensive ROY.

As for why you should care? I don't know. I don't care.

I believe I have close to everything he’s ever published and four volumes of his letters. His views changed over the years but his passion and truth telling never varied. His heart was always on his sleeve.
