Xavier Worthy practicing. Would be pretty astonishing if he plays though.

Dean, IMO. He just needs to stay healthy. But he is the leader on the D.

It's hard to be the leader if you aren't on the field. And I hate that for Dean. But I don't see how he's going to get into the lineup.

APR got cut last Friday. I don't see them churning him though. I don't know if he just doesn't practice well. Hopefully, he catches on somewhere.

I hear ya. But Milton had a very solid 1st game with Pats and no JC. Everyone was too quick to say he needs JC to be effective. I strongly disagreed with that. He is just a couple tiers better than Ojomo. And is starting now. Also, JD had a great game next to Ojomo. And Ojomo bombed. Still early...

Williams was in his 4th season last year, 24 tackles, 5 sacks, 7 tfl, 10 QBH last season - that's what Ojomo has to match, not what Williams does in NE.

Ojomo played 388 snaps last year, and only 68 as a rookie.

First legal hit to his shoulder will end him

Get Coop to jam him at the line

I never saw a single person be negative about Milton Williams, everyone agreed he played well. What people said was he (and everyone) benefited from playing next to Carter and he will be expected to be the top guy in New England. We'll see how the season plays out, but good for him if he plays great! What many said about replacing him was the snaps would be distributed among Davis, Ojomo and others.

So out of curiosity looking at the numbers - too early in week 1 especially with Carter out - but here's what last year vs this year looked like for Williams and Ojomo.

2024 Williams week 1: 28 snaps - 1 tackle, 0 QB hits
2024 Ojomo week 1: 14 snaps - 0 tackles, 1 QB hit
2025 Williams week 1: 49 snaps - 3 tackles (1 solo) , 2 QB Hits
2025 Ojomo week 1: 55 snaps - 1 tackle, 1 QB hit

So, of course with Carter out everyone else played more. But, Ojomo played more snaps in week 1 this year than Williams did in week 1 last year. Their stats are very similar, Williams had a couple extra tackles and 1 extra QB hit last week which you would expect I think. And stats of course don't tell the whole story of how they played but that's just what is easiest to measure (I didn't see their game).

Also last year Williams' snap count was usually less than 30 until the end of the season. Ojomo's snaps also increased as last season went on, especially when resting starters. Williams had a great playoff run and turned that into a big contract, good for him.

He has 0 career Regular season sacks right now. Will see. People jumped the gun with Ojomo a little bit. I like Booker better right now. Williams became too expensive. And Bennett should be starting by now. So I am concerned about that whole deal.

Based on one game where the best player on the D-Line was thrown out before the first snap with no chance to adjust. Leading to Ojomo playing the most snaps he has ever played and producing similarly to Milton in NE, who has 2 years on him.

This is sad, even for Milton's brother here.

Booker is benefiting from being the top dog in a very weak pack of DTs in Las Vegas.

Yes, he said he didn’t against Dallas because it was a new defense they haven’t seen on tape before so he was more interested to see how they come out and then counter off that.

Thanks.

I like Ojomo. But he's overrated some and hasn't gotten 1 career sack yet. Let's wait a little bit before we crown him. He played with JC a bunch last year. Milton is overpaid, no doubt and we didnt want to cough it up. Still say he's a helluva player without JC.

Wow worthy practicing. That’s impressive

Interesting stat -- we basically kept Dallas in the game.

Would depend on what kind of back injury it is and if it's something that can heal or will need some type of procedure. Hoping for the former.

Big game tonight. Possibly the two biggest threats in the NFC.

They just need to pop it back in again.

I suggest a strongly worded letter to Coach Fangio expressing your concerns.

I'm starting to buy Lane Johnson's glowing review of him. He looked really good in that game.

I just want to say I'm very grateful for you posters, and the board in general. News and social media has me exhausted to the point that I need to take a break. I'm really glad a place like this exists. That's all.

I definitely think Ojomo is a jag. He's not going to be disruptive. He's going to generally hold his ground. Nothing more nothing less. Davis can and ideally will consistently be much more. He also can be less.

Ojomo is a snap eater.

I think there’s a real chance that both of those teams go undefeated this year.
