Hurts had/has a great supporting cast

Burrow on this team puts up great numbers just passing the ball to Brown and Smith while handing it off to Barkley

Baker and Goff needed specific systems which they flourished in. We don't know if Hurts needs that (hopefully we never find out since that'd mean he wouldn't be here)

You could argue the revolving door of OC’s means we have seen he doesn’t need that. He’s not flashy and the gilded age of QB’s is over, as players continue to get bigger, faster and stronger the game is becoming more about being smart and taking what’s there. Hurts is for sure limited in a lot of ways, which is why the debate of is he a top 5 or top 10 QB is so polarizing. He does what very few other QB’s can do with consistency…win.

Also, I don’t think baker needs a specific system. He was very good on terrible Cleveland teams and then got shafted because he gutted out some injuries and the Brown’s FO was obsessed with giving $250m to a terrible human.

That argument that Hurts does what others don't is win is an odd thing to claim to when it's a team attribute. It'd be better IMO if people praised his work ethic more than trying to use a team state to claim he's better than other QBs
