August 30Aug 30 I swear it happened live. Right after FSU got a 4th down stop. They focused on this one guy for like 15 seconds and he flips the bird and they immediately cut to another shot. 🤣

All I knew about football before then was that it was something my dad watched on weekends and occasionally went to. I was an instant devoted fan after my first game however and followed the rest of that football season very closely. That’s why I remember the Jets Super Bowl so well but have zero knowledge (other than historical) about the first two Packers wins. The 67 season and before I was in NOLA (pre Saints). We got what we got on TV so I saw a mix. But I have watched what ai could since the internet became available. That said, I watched a lot of college ball in the sixties and seventies (and since). I remember Retzlaff because my Dad’s first college was the Jackrabbits so I kind of gravitated to him. But damn, I was young and IIRC you are younger than me.

So, he's not missing out on much by not going pro immediately, and having to be the savior of a franchise immediately. He can be a kid for a little while... make some nice coin, and only have to play 12 games or so.
August 31Aug 31 Nussmeier is good. LSU just got hosed by a bad catch review. Everything wrong with replay on that one.

Then, the Hurts got a ring, and Nussmeier's dad left to go to some worse team. Dream shattered.

Dream shattered. This post right here really sums up exactly what I've said about Hazleton and a small few others that have yet to really appreciate having Hurts as our franchise QB. There is a level of suffering that is going along with having to watch the Eagles for what will be a full career for Jalen Hurts and seeing all the success he has and will continue to have despite it going completely against a lot of your principle opinions about QB play.
August 31Aug 31 Hurts will be the Eagles QB for 4 more seasons through 2028. After he hits 30, all bets are off. He still plays to contact to some extent and I don’t think that will ever change. There’s a high likelihood his body will begin to break down around that time.

He continues to just get smarter with NFL defenses and more advances just as other good QBs do as they gain with experience. Already among, if not the best pocket passers in the league when he chooses to go that route. By the time his athleticism starts to leave him he will be a much more advances passer than he already is when he dissected a dynasty Super Bowl defense twice in the Super Bowl as a passer. He will always have some mobility and enough to be function still as a benefit in situations that need it. Even Elway was when he was old ass at the end of his career with his final two seasons winning back to back Super Bowls. Only way Hurts doesn't continue to play great into his 30s will be if injuries/concussions have completely diminished him as a player by that point beyond the natural aging process of a professional athlete have their athleticism and injury recovery slowed down as they enter their 30s and go beyond that while still playing.

He needs to study Mahomes and do that side step that he does on the sidelines

August 31Aug 31 Facebook is telling me George Pickens is suspended for PRDs now. Will miss our week 1 game. Not sure if legit.
