I had a dream(NIGHTMARE) last night the Eagles were playing the Cowboys. Eagles get the ball first, drive down, score and go up 7-0. Then Dallas drives down, scores, ties it up 7-7. Eagles get the ball back drive down again, Saquon gets tripped up at the one yard line. Everyone thinks it's gonna be the tush push, but instead they come out in this weird formation where Hurts is lined up at WR on the right side. Saquon is in shotgun at QB. He gets the snap, everyone thinks it's gonna be a wildcat, but instead he pitches it to Goedert, Goedert then throws it over to Hurts(lateral), Hurts then throws it all the way to the other side side of the field to Devonta where the Eagles blockers are all set up, but it doesn't matter. Dallas sniffs it out, tackles him for a 15 yard loss, and it kills the drive, then the entire crowd started booing, Eagles settle for a FG.

Next drive, Dallas drives down and scores another TD, Eagles trail 14-10. Dallas kicks it off, Shipley muffles the return a bit at the 5 yard line, once he gathers himself, Dallas STers are closing in, and for some reason he decides to run back into the end zone to try to avoid them. Cowboys get a safety. Dallas gets it back, drive down and score another TD, Dallas up 23-10 and the boos are raining down in the stadium and I'm texting friends that this is the worst I've seen the Eagles look since the Chip Kelly days, this is really bad. Eagles start driving, and I woke up because I had to use the bathroom so I never got to see how the game ended.

Get a big win Thursday to rinse the disgusting taste of this dream away.

Almost all my dreams are full of debacherous sex with beautiful women or being back in school and forgetting where my classes are or unprepared for an exam. Never football for some reason.

The 67 season and before I was in NOLA (pre Saints). We got what we got on TV so I saw a mix. But I have watched what ai could since the internet became available. That said, I watched a lot of college ball in the sixties and seventies (and since). I remember Retzlaff because my Dad’s first college was the Jackrabbits so I kind of gravitated to him. But damn, I was young and IIRC you are younger than me.

The game that did it for me was the Colts - Giants classic in 1958, Alan Ameche scoring the winning TD in overtime. Watched it in black and white. I didn’t become an Eagles fan right away because we lived in Michigan - Ann Arbor - so I plugged into the Lions, with Bobby Layne et al. When I ended up in Philadelphia I hung out with Billy Bradley and Tim Rossovich; been a die-hard birds fan ever since. Used to do my drinking at Dirty Frank’s where Tom Woodeshick tended bar.

Bill Cosby posts on the EMB!

Out of curiosity, are the Ravens and Lamar Jackson going to be hyped up every year for all of perpetuity? Just curious how many times they have to choke in the playoffs before the media braintrust stops anointing them as their SB favorite. These guys can barely win a single playoff game, let alone go on a run.

The Bills are the JV Chiefs and the Ravens are the JV Bills.

He puts up nice regular season stats so yes

Cowboys signed their young, standout defensive player

"These guys should have multiple SB wins. Their problem? They’re playing at the same time as Mahomes.”

It’s a BS thought, but a prevailing one.

They’ve never advanced far enough to play against KC in the playoffs in the Lamar Jackson era. They’ve been beaten by the Chargers, Titans, Bengals, Bills …… not the Chiefs, from what I can remember.

Lived around the corner from Dirty Franks in the late 1970s when I was in graduate school at Penn. It was a nice walk to class.

Dirty's, the Israeli falafel shop and the Lesbian Ice cream parlor.

That was when downtown was affordable and funky.

McNabb had a pretty sturdy build himself and lifted to the point of seemingly losing some flexibility in his shoulders. But the clock ran out on him way faster than some guys who were drafted before him, like Peyton or a guy drafted the year after him, like Brady or Brees.

McNabb's effectiveness lasted less than 10 years. Hurts is already at 5. His body will start to recover slower as he approaches and passes 30. His style will need to change with it.

McNabb couldn't read defenses, like Vick, had to see the open man then used his velocity to throw through windows.

Came out of the option at Syracuse, where he only read half the field.

AR helped him approve, but he never became a fast processor and really wasn't dedicated to becoming a pure pocket QB.

When he got injured in 2005, similar to Wentz, he was never the same. Could make plays with his arm, but couldn't extend plays like he did when he was young.

Hurts has steadily improved as a pocket passer, and it would be hard to find someone with a stronger work ethic.

It’s crazy they trade away Parsons and then sign Bland to that. He had one great year, but I don’t see how he’ll ever sustain that level of play

They lost to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game 2 years ago.

Yeah I figured there had to be one in there that I was missing, but they definitely haven’t been roadblocked by Mahomes every year. They’re not really built to go deep in the playoffs (IMO) because Harbaugh has them playing an aggressive, ****y, somewhat dirty game all year long.

Actually I think Bland is a lot better CB than Diggs — not a little better, a lot. But, yes, extremely Jerry to cast off your best defensive player then sign a replaceable one to big money only days later.

Universally common. And believe it or not, these types of dreams are very common with highly successful people.

Lamar is 3-4 in the playoffs taking out the Chiefs, including two losses to Allen. ( 1 loss to the Chiefs )

Allen is 7-2 in the playoffs taking out the Chiefs. ( 4 losses to the Chiefs )

Lamar Jacksons path to the Super Bowl is blocked by the playoffs.

Josh Allen's path to the Super Bowl is blocked by Mahomes.

CB2 imminent confirmed

Also this is good news.

How many years have the Cowboys been hyped like that?

You didn't really offer a counter to my point. Hurts' style will need to change.

Most assumed it would've been Covey. Looks like it's Green. Possible Dickerson insurance?
