I haven’t disagree. Howie probably makes more trades than any other GM. If he’s always screwing his trading partners why would anyone trade with him? The answer is, they wouldn’t. Yet they do. Howie wants trades that improve the Eagles. Winning is irrelevant.

Winning trades is irrelevant. Winning games and trophies is very relevant.

Marshall being back doesn't bode well for signing Baker or Rice unfortunately. Id prefer baker or rice.

I think they will be signed between Week one and Week Two. 10 day week gives more flexibility, Marshall is a known commodity right now as they prepare for Dallas.

I believe he has mellowed a bit on that in recent seasons. He cut bait on Huff. He cut bait on DTR. He cut bait on CJGJ twice.

Huff was a free agent signing. As was CJGJ...twice. DTR, I believe, was more of a throw-in insurance policy against forcing a pick for a QB3 candidate in the draft. But, nothing about DTR seemed to be a piece in the deal. DTR had zero value to Cleveland, so it really didn't cost them anything to include him. Meanwhile, it offered Howie the luxury of not needing to force a pick for a developmental QB in the draft. They got one in McCord, so DTR became extremely expendable here. McCord showed nothing, so they went out and got Howell as insurance on the injury to McKee. But, if they cared about DTR, he'd be here as he had starting experience. The trouble is that experience was brutally bad. No upside with him.

More like honor among thieves. They only have a small number of gms they must deal with. And try to extract maximum value. Its not respect its cost of doing business

Fair enough

Phillies screw up another run down situation. nonono Little leaguers are supposed to get these guys out 999 out of 1000 times. They need to practice it more.

Just saw that we signed Kenyon Green to the 53. Our guard depth is just awful.

That's only an impediment if Mahomes is the one knocking you out of the playoffs. Manning had to deal with Brady and was often kicked out by Brady. How many times has Jackson matched up against Mahomes in the post-season? Only once by my count.

2018-19 season - Ravens bounced in Wild Card Round by Chargers.

2019-20 season - Ravens bounced in Divisional Round by Titans. ***Ravens were the 1 seed this year.

2020-21 season - Ravens bounced in Divisional Round by Bills.

2021-22 season - N/A

2022-23 season - N/A

2023-24 season - Ravens bounced in Divisional Round by Chiefs.

2024-25 season - Ravens bounced in Divisional Round by Bills.

The argument could be made that the AFC has the better QBs. But the Ravens have only been bounced with Lamar at QB by Mahomes once. Allen twice. And the other two were Tannehill (88 yards passing) and Rivers (160 yards passing). So, its not like he was facing prime Brady, Manning or Brees. That's pretty pedestrian performances.

Playoff records: 0-1 Mahomes, 0-2 Allen, 1-1 Tannehill, 1-0 Stroud, 0-1 Rivers, 1-0 Wilson

Not really. Seeding is what I was implying. The QBs/teams don't need to necessary play eachother

Yep but the odd part of that is that any team could have claimed him. Hughlett wasn't eligible for waivers so that was safer and I think they found out the Chargers needed a LS so had to move. Not sure why a team would not claim Green but a few days later want to poach him from PS

What happened when the Ravens were the #1 seed?

My bad on Huff. I have always seen his arrival as a Reddick for Huff trade.

The Eagles acquired CJGJ from the Saints on August 30, 2022, in a trade that sent a 2023 fifth-round pick and the Eagles' 2024 sixth-round pick to the Saints, while the Eagles received Gardner-Johnson and a 2025 seventh-round pick

I dont doubt they did it bc another team was offering him

That is correct. My mistake.

🤷‍♂️. Maybe there was an injury to a player and they were waiting to IR him, just like the Eagles did with Lampkin. After all, the same logic could be applied as to why the Eagles would put him on the roster just days after waiving him.

Cowboys signed their young, standout defensive player

Probably smarter the the Micah contract.

My point was having Mahomes in the same conference as you makes it more difficult to reach the SB

AFC for awhile now has been pretty consistent with having more talent to fight through

Luckily Landon is an indestructible robo battle bot transformer beast freak.

Do you remember how long it took for the details of the Huff trade to come out? Also, the conditions of the trade still haven’t come out months later.

Just a year ago the Eagles framed the Reddick trade as a "conditional 2nd” when in reality it was a 3rd that could become a second with some steep conditions. I don’t think he mellowed out at all.

Keeping Kenyon Green on the PS is one thing, adding him to the active roster is a bit head scratching. Do they think they can fix him yet?

Measurable wise and the fact that he’ll be an inactive OL getting full Stout treatment, if it protects him, he is a good developmental player option. So, yes, if anyone can fix him, Stout can. Always two inactive OL the way the NFL/NFLPA have the active structured. And, you know what, if,he doesn’t progress, they can always readjust. After all, the cowpads will cut Keegan after the first game when they realize as a spy, he sucks..

Yes, exactly. Lots of showmanship in the NFL, especially when talking to the media. Lots of chain pulling as well.

Sure but the thing everyone loves about Fangio in his availability is he doesn’t sugar coat things and tells it how it is. To pretend he’s some master manipulator is changing the facts to fit your argument.

Forgot they added a Friday game to week 1

Agree to disagree.

No it is just me thinking "everyone” is gullible. All the world is a stage, and all people are simply performers who have their exits and their entrances.

I’m, Green is a physical monster who doesn’t know how to play. Keeping him means Stout thinks he can teach him. It’s a risk but with a huge reward possible. The cost is minimal.
