I wouldn’t sweat it. There’s just way too much talent on this offense for them not to get it going eventually.

If they’re still having these issues after week 4 then I would start to get concerned

We'll see. Nick got his guy vs an established guy. There is no excuse with them just having won a SB.

So Mahomes is not the best QB in the league. There i said it.

I think that is Josh Allen. That said the reason mahomes isn’t putting up the gaudy stats he did early in his career is cause early in his career he had a hall of fame Te in kelce in his prime, a HOF WR in tyreek hill in his prime, one of the top 10 offensive lines in the league and a solid running game. The chiefs offensive line is a far cry from 2018 and 2019 chiefs. Their talent at WR stinks with worthy hurt and rice doing dumb things and getting suspended. And kelce just isn’t the same guy he was in his prime.

Its not the friggin OC. He wasnt here 2 years ago.

Two years ago they struggled.

Last year they won a SB with one less player.

Just gonna say it once but Patullo looks intent on installing a more NFL style offense with QB under center more, multiple TEs, motion. Less read option, less RPO.

Hurts cant handle it.

McKee looks great running it. Beautiful timing throws, on time and accurate. Progressions read.

Hurts... holding the ball. No progressions. No timing. Absolute horse crap.

Want to criticize Patullo for taking away all of what has worked? Thats fair.

Who allowed that to happen?

Want to say Patullo has no creativity. WRs not getting open for Hurts. Passing game does not work. False. Hurts is making yet another OC look bad. Every year we complain about our OC here. The constant continues to be Hurts.

For next week, Siri needs to tell Patullo to put back some of the elementary stuff Hurts needs to succeed though. We are forcing a square peg in a round hold. This QB sucks and needs help.

He doesn’t quite have that repeatable accuracy you would expect, and Kelce had some bad drops…Mukuba did not, nice hands.

I would put Lamar ahead of Mahomes too.

But see that is the problem. Nick sucks with the offense. He needs an experienced OC so he can just be a good head coach.

I guess the SB made me forget

Should be mentioned a million times …. My god, Za’Darius Smith was incredible today. What an instant impact.

I probably begged the Eagles to sign him in 50 posts throughout the summer that I wanted the Eagles to sign him and it's insane he was on the market that long. He was good last season, legitimately good. Dude had 9.5 sacks. No brainer signing.

hes getting doubled a lot, but today was a lot of 0.

They did not come in to the year expecting growing pains with a new OC

Resilient team that finds ways to win, but fans are wondering if its sustainable and thats fair to ask.

His demeanor was much better. He was pretty honest. Hes not saying anything negative, but not sugar coating it.

A lot of Hurts haters but he has a great feel for when to take risks and when to be ugly conservative and not turn the ball over. Thats why he wins so much

He usually does…but that 3 and out at the end against Dallas…and several of the drives today…that wasn’t feel. Thats an L if things don’t go well while he’s watching on the sidelines.

More or less, yes. His job isn’t to throw for 300 yards; his job is to figure out how we end with the highest score. When that stops, we’ve got a problem. It stopped in 2023, regardless of how many yards he threw for

The issue in 2023 was two fold. First they were a turnover machine even though they were 10-1. We kind of said well they keep winning so that’s the bottom line. Second the defense wasn’t good on top of that. This team has a far better defense than 2023 so I’m guessing they’ll keep us in most games as long as we don’t turn it over.

IMO have a hard time believing this offense is going to be this poor all year. I tend to think Barkley is going to have higher than a 3.7 yards per carry and brown more than 5.8 yards per reception.

Totally agree here

Nah, I'm pretty sure Nick is average with offense but is too rigid, he doesn't adapt well to people who can't handle the traditional type passing fundamentals. It's important to remember he didn't draft Hurts. Dude's path came through Phillip Rivers, it's pretty much the opposite mold to Hurts.

You think that’s impressive aj brown is on pace for 51 receptions and 298 receiving yards.

No argument there but it has worked very well for this team overall even if ugly and frustrating at times

He did have the 1/2 sack along with Mukuba right? Stat line was showing Baun instead of Smith.

I think you can make the argument. I don’t think it’s outrageous. I’d take mahomes if the offensive talent around them was equal. I really think a major issue with Kansas City is they don’t have the talent around him for him to be the MVP that he was early in his career like 2018 and even 2019. their offensive line is frankly middle of the league and i think can make the argument it’s probably closer to 15-20 area. Their running game is nonexistent. And they’re relying on worthy who tends to get banged up and rice who does stupid things off the field. To me, Andy Reid and the FO have done a horrible job setting up Patrick Mahomes to be his very best. Like your best weapon shouldn’t be a 36 year old Travis Kelce.

Yep. Worse, we more or less decided to keep one of Hurts' weapons (TE) instead of getting a corner, so not only does Hurts require everything to be right for his style of play, but on top of that, he draws investment that could go to the defense with a QB who was better at throwing the football at the helm.

After seeing him play today I'm very curious on why he's been unsigned. Was the red flag just his age?
