I think the offense is missing a dynamic component now that passes to Shipley are out for however long. We still done even know if he has a broken rib or just an oblique strain.

Run game would probably be better with a FB.

Currently, Dillon is totally fine in the same way Gainwell was just fine. But Bigsby will add more juice. They need to get him on the field next week in Dillon's role, and at KR.

Still.... none of that helps with our WRs being invisible and that needs to be fixed.

But it is though. Everyone can see it.

Age - banged up here and there

Probably a combination of age, money he wanted, and him wanting to skip training camp.

Last year people still complained about Kellen Moore all season.

The new OC seems to be really leaning into under center and pistol, which I appreciate as it should make the RB game better if Jalen can keep up his end passing. Of course, withdrawing Jalen from the conventional run game is a big negative. We’re dealing offensively with the double whammy of a dysfunctional passing attack and a diminished running threat. In the next couple of weeks either we’ll start making progress or retrograde to the spread RO that is more dangerous for Jalen but proven. Thank goodness the D is legit.. poor Brian Johnson got no breaks in that department.

He did have the 1/2 sack along with Mukuba right? Stat line was showing Baun instead of Smith.

He was definitely the one there (Smith). Maybe they didnt credit him since Mukuba really had it pretty much dead. Smith sorta helped, but it was a little late and didnt look like it was going to be needed. I have no idea how they decide to credit for half sacks.

Vikings Skol crap is stupid as hell

Another note on passing game and September preseason.

Its really bad here but its also a mess in other places.

The Jets had 54 net yards passing today

Rodgers had 195 net passing yards with 2 picks.

Jayden Daniels had 119 on Thursday before he surrendered to kill clock.

Burrow has about 170 net yards passing in 5 1/2 quarters.

I think maybe they should practice in the preseason games so these teams are ready to play in September.

The timing is not down. Hamstrings are pulled all over the place, etc.

It's literally the same gameplan as last year with a new OC. Don't let Hurts make mistakes and play conservatively. The entire offense looked completely different when both McKee and Pickett were in last year. If it's working, it's working, but I'm not sure it's going to keep working like it did last year. It really seems like they just don't want him airing the ball unless he has to.

I knew I heard someone say that

The FOLES! chant was quite nice.

Yeah idk. But why credit Baun? Was he even there? 3rd guy there at best

The worst part is that they stole it from Iceland’s national soccer team

I assumed Baun got credit for a different play? I dont know. He definitely wasnt there on that 1st sack.

I thought we killed that.

Just rechecked. They fixed it - Smith has the 1/2 sack credit now

hes getting doubled a lot, but today was a lot of 0.

They did not come in to the year expecting growing pains with a new OC

Resilient team that finds ways to win, but fans are wondering if its sustainable and thats fair to ask.

His demeanor was much better. He was pretty honest. Hes not saying anything negative, but not sugar coating it.

I don’t think the offense has ever left the field behind (except extra point) so it will be interesting to see how they operate if they are behind by more than a score and need to open it up. I think I have more faith that they’ll deliver when they truly need to

The DeVonta DPI pickup was disgusting. I missed the DPI no call on AJ due to NFL scumbags keeping me on a battle of 2 teams that will win a combined 11 games this year. How bad was the no call on the DB grabbing AJ?

His 1 handed falling catch prevented an INT.

It's about as mundane as you can get but that is up there with one of the best catches of his career (from a level of difficulty perspective.)

On defense, something to keep in mind is last year they improved dramatically after the bye and starting Cooper. This year they have Campbell and Mukuba already playing well, Za'Darius in his first game making plays. They need to bench Adoree Jackson. They probably won't be the top defense again, but will be among the top defenses.

There were also 2 3rd down calls, that gave the Chiefs 1st downs on their TD drive - both very flaky calls imo - Chiefs would not have scored a TD if one of those calls does not get called

The refs did not want the Chiefs starting 0-2.

The Falcons really just took the ball first then didn't have any plays to call
