I am unconvinced

I expected Minny to be much better than this slop

Vikes are just always soft. They got lucky last week and Chicago sucks.

Lots of football to play but I could see the Falcons ending up a 6 seed and winning a game in the playoffs. They have a a good bit of talent especially with Pitts finally coming on.

Frankly, Campbell’s hit prior on mahomes to the roughing of the passer, felt more like a penalty than the roughing the passer he got.

That was just football.

Just two weeks in but you do kinda feel those 2023 vibes, offensively speaking.

But it feels very different defensively.

Next week will be tough sledding too.

I thought the Chiefs played like crap today…worse than Dallas did last week. The Rams are right in it with the Packers and Lions as the best non-Eagle teams in the NFC.

We are going to need to see a lot more pass rush and a lot more out of Saquan than we have through 2 weeks if they are going to go 3-0.

With that D and Rodgers needing to put up 30+ each week, its going to get ugly fast. I'd take Washington and Jonnu Smith from them at the deadline.

I haven’t watched, so can Slay still play at a CB2 level?

Tbh rewatching the roughing the passer, his hands hit his facemask. With it being mahomes that’s getting called every time

And its longer than all but 3 throws by Hurts during the 2 games this year.

Hurts 2021 - Carried a bad team to the playoffs. Joe Burrow apparently can't do this.

Hurts 2022 - MVP race all year and finished a clear 2nd to Mahomes.

Hurts 2023 - MVP top 3 through 11 weeks and then the team fell apart, him included. Allen also had 18 picks and the same 11 wins.

Hurts 2024 - Won with run / field general / leadership / and timely passing without huge passing stats. Then he became the first 5 / 5 playoffs guy and absolutely crushed in the NFCCG and SB.

Tell me how I am not supposed to think the guy is an elite QB?

At 58 rushing TD's he's now tied with Jamal 2k Lewis and Mike Alstott for career rushing TDs. He's 27. Terrell Davis is waiting at 60.

FWIW I knew Priest Holmes, Shaun Alexander, and LaDanian Tomlinson had great O-lines helping them get 25+ TD seasons.

I knew Emmit had the best O-line of a RBs career helping him to his numbers. I never criticized Emmitt unless it was to fine point that I though he was 5th or 6th best all time behind Brown, Sanders, and a few others. No need to call him out for getting 50 cheap TDs. No TDs are cheap in the NFL.

For his brief work as a commentator I sure criticized Emmitt when he had to pause and look down at the field to remember he was in Philly at the time. 😆

Any ranking on Emmitt would never be less than top 6 unless Saquon and Henry keep this up for 6+ more years then it might be 7.

I’ll say this the rams looked good today because the titans are really bad. That game as actually close at halftime then they pulled away. The rams looked pedestrian on offense in week 1 against the Texans where they scored 14.

"In Week 1 against the New York Jets, Slay allowed a perfect 158.3 passer rating to quarterback Justin Fields while giving up two catches on as many targets for 41 yards and a touchdown. The veteran cornerback also missed two tackles in this game.”

Considering that Sam Darnold went for 300 yards and 2 TDs en route to 31 points against them today, I’m assuming that things haven’t been great for him.

Peyton Manning and Joe Montana have Hurts as an elite QB. Brady respects the hell out of him.

No idea if that means 3rd best of 6th best ( or maybe 8th or 9th for Brady) but they all respect the hell out of him.

I get how that gets evened out by a rando looking at a passing numbers box score.

The Eagles have somehow become the team of Hollywood and the entertainment world. Bradley Cooper, David Corenswet, Kevin Hart, Myles Teller, Shane Gillis, Whitney Cummings, Anne Hathaway, Kevin Ryan and H Foley are all Eagles fans.

I guess that’s what happens when Dallas sucks for 30 years.

It was a flakey call at best - I’m guessing a makeup call for when they missed it against Campbell earlier. Obviously someone was in their ears.

Kevin Hart is from North Philly - lifelong Eagles fan.

His wife is still hot - life is good.

I feel like the Vikings life cycle is to suck for 3 years and then pop off a 15 win season on the shoulders of a previously left-for-dead QB only to lay an egg in the playoffs. Rinse, then repeat.

Good. Let's get that pick as high as possible.

Puka will eat. With a weakness at CB Im not sure how we will handle him and Adams. The rams also use their 3rd and 4th WRs effectively too.

A key, will be the injury update on Carter's wrist. If we arent stout up the middle Kyren Williams will make it difficult keeping the D honest.

No one acts like that. We do have to hear garbage about how Joe Burrow is superior when he is clearly not.

Hurts is on a HoF trajectory. (The SBs really help and he's already a 10/10 guy in the playoffs) That does not mean he is perfect or the ultimate passer.

I'm not sure he places top 10 in throw the ball at moving targets pro bowl games but that;s not what NFL football is about.

He was an absolute all-time beast in both Super Bowls.

I'm not sure how good or bad he was in this game. Other people will all-22 and tell me if he missed open guys.

He was excellent last week and only fools crushed him.

People who judge him as a 19 TD a year QB are Eagle hating scumbags. The rushing TDs cound and hes a 36 TD a year guy. That is great.

His yards are also fine when you combine both and realize the offense and the low 4th quarter passing numbers unless they need him, then he beats Josh Allen.

Tell me what the goal posts are and I will tell you how good he is.

Says here he is 42-10 in his last 52 regular starts and 6-3 in the playoffs with a SB MVP.

If we are arguing if he is Montana/Bradshaw/(Aikman+awesome running) instead of Brees and Manning, its not an argument. He is.

He is so far better than Aikman that its laughable.

I think Aikman is overrated as F, but I think Jalen has notable limitations as a passer. You also need to include the era correction - back then the defenses could absolutely maul WR, Jalen's guys literally can't be touched (like other NFL WR) and he still frequently puts up games with relatively poor passing results.

Also people absolutely do act like that, it's less common on this board, but there's definitely other Eagles communities in which they try to do things like act like Jalen is the biggest reason our team wins instead of the defense that constantly choked out opponents until Hurts got to the point where he could add real offense to the games (NFCCG+). There are incredibly few QBs who, if asked while removing all loyalty to their organization, would not swap roles with Jalen Hurts.

As for the Super Bowl thing, that's great, but you have to get to the Super Bowl to be great in the Super Bowl, and Jalen absolutely got there last year because his defense was one of the greatest defenses the Eagles have ever seen following the bye.
