This is the offense Hurts wants to run in the beginning of the year. People can accept that or find a scapegoat in the OC since that's easier

I was against the banning simply because I don't like the league removing a play just because teams can't stop it. Do I dislike the over reliance on it? Absolutely

Felt for a while their ownership and FO doesn’t get talked enough cause burrow has kind of saved them. But they have been really **** dating back to when they refused to move on from Marvin Lewis for years even though they needed too. Heck their stadium and practice facilities are in dire need of upgrading.

Agree but, they can give him multiple choices out of the same formation. If he makes the wrong choice it’s one thing but there should be passes out of the run formations and vice versa.

If he’s calling the same audible out of the same formation a dozen times and some times several plays in row, maybe they should have a chat with him. I doubt that’s what is happening though because it wasn’t that predictable last year.

Jalen probably has too much say in the offense but I don’t think the bland predictability is his fault.

I don't think audibles were really an aspect of the game plan - this should be an opportunity for improvement, when dealing with heavy boxes or obvious blitzing. There's also the age-old hot route issue, which is inexplicable but nonetheless implacable. Perhaps it was too noisy in Arrowhead and they don't want to tip their hand signals this early in the season.

I'm trying to make that my focus. We won a game that I had expected to be a loss. So, that's a major plus. The flip side is that the offense looked very pedestrian in the process. The good part is that once again, the defense looked very good. They have a few wrinkles to work through, but by and large, they are the strength of the team. It just goes to show the importance of having an old salt at DC. There are a lot of personnel changes on the defensive side of things, but the same system, the same attitude and the same pillars on the roster.

it’s why i’d really like if roughing the passer penalties were reviewed like college football does with targeting penalties. more and more QBs flopping and officials in real time depending on the angle can’t tell. Like that was a complete sell job by allen. That said it’ll never happen.

Or at a minimum, an acknowledgement after the fact that the ref made a bad call.

Im very aware of what that route is. You can still hit it on time in that gap. It happens all the time. Its a routine thing.

Makuba was exciting to watch last year, I saw almost every game. That he has brought the same instincts and production this early in his rookie season is awesome for PHI. I said this right after he was drafted and a couple of you mentioned it yesterday, he has to add some weight to play as physical as he wants to play like he did at Texas. In my opinion that is his only weakness this early in his NFL career, and calling it a weakness isn’t really fair, the guy can ball he just needs to eat more cheeseburgers like someone yesterday said. Added weight will/should help with his ability to stay healthy.

Twice the refs screwed the Eagles with the classic KC spot where they just randomly decide the runner was a yard behind where he actually was.

For me, yes the O is struggling, but consideration needs to be given to the situation. The Cowboys spent the offseason game planning for game 1 to ruin opening day., even more pertinent as a division rival that hasn't won a Super Bowl this side of the millennium The Chiefs had revenge on their mind from the humiliation of Super Bowl. Its not an excuse by any means for the performances, but I don't see this week being any different. The Rams have a chip on their shoulder after that playoff game. The grind lives on, but they do need to add in more sizzle to the steak.
