was a great tackle by Mukuba reminds me of last year on dejean’s tackle in cincy on 4th down

It was a redemption tackle after getting trucked by Mahomes.

I’d be really surprised if he makes it through the next 15 games with a fully torn labrum and is super effective.

Im very aware of what that route is. You can still hit it on time in that gap. It happens all the time. Its a routine thing.

Routine for whom? Jalen has played a ton of ball now at every level; he is what he is. It's a matter now of accentuating his strengths, and avoiding his weaknesses. Now he might get injured along the way, but that's when McKee comes in with an all together different brand of quarterbacking.

Was he part of the kneel down? Idk if they include that in snap count though.

That would make a ton of sense. I've often wondered why they don't use a safety or DB as the deep safety on that play. Makes no sense to put a WR back there. If he has to make a tackle, he's likely to get hurt, because he's not used to it. Meanwhile a defender with size, speed and strength is the ideal choice. I always thought Dawkins should be that guy back in the early 2000s. Now it should be DeJean.

When you see the picture just makes you appreciate even more just how ridiculous of a catch that was

Defense looks good and will get better as the season goes on. Offense is a snooze fest. I think it's the passing and running concepts. Hopefully it's a learning issue rather than easily deciphered concepts. However, pretty clear that when Smith or Brown motion across a run is coming to the opposite side. They did that about 8 times in the game.

Rams game: Eagles offense has to play better and score more points.

Rams should put Nacua wherever Jackson is lined up. He will have a career day.

This game might be the game to put DeJean outside. He's a much better match up on Nacua than any of the other DBs. And we get to see little Mac at slot. Or, they bring in Bennett, who just looks bigger than Jackson. Either way, you need a physical corner out there on Nacua.

Felt for a while their ownership and FO doesn’t get talked enough cause burrow has kind of saved them. But they have been really **** dating back to when they refused to move on from Marvin Lewis for years even though they needed too. Heck their stadium and practice facilities are in dire need of upgrading.

They chose to pay their WRs 100M instead of fixing their Oline. Sad management

That should be the honest conversation around banning the shove; offensive leverage is too much of an advantage in an age where defenses also need to be light to cover the entire field.

Let me know if I was right on the last KC TD pass regarding Blankenship, if you can. Thanks in advance.

Haven't looked, do you know the qtr and roughly how much time was left on the clock?

EDIT: nevermind, found it. Yeah you're right, it's 2x2 with a late motion to 3x1 and seems like C3 like you said (definitely wasn't trix like I thought.) It's a deep crosser, skinny post combo, with late motion running trail. Reed jumps the deep crosser, vacating the deep middle and Q is a bit slow to recognize the flanker on the post. Mostly Reed's fault, I'd say, but Q was a step late in recognition too (maybe was distracted by the late motion.) Though I'll say his make-up speed was bonkers to have even gotten back in time and almost breaks up the play.

More than Huff all last year

People were accepting the rust because it's the beginning of the season but we had important games for seeding at the beginning this year

Didn't Hurts fumble and we recovered? Makes sense it's not counted in the stats but it still happened

This is how I feel. This dude was on last year's staff, he knows everyone on offense and they promoted him with the idea of running the same offense. So how, through two games, does everything look awful like it's some system they've never run before

The only change was at RG. I didn’t think we’d have much of a downgrade there but maybe we do.

Either way, Brown is going to be throwing a massive fit after the first loss if he’s continuing to get 2 targets a game.

0:03 a good QB has the ball out already to hit that route on the bottom of the screen in between the CB and S zone pass off. Its exactly what used to happen to Slay and Bradberry over, and over, and over again when our secondary stunk.

He could also have hit the curl route on the top of the screen if he delivered the ball with anticipation towards the outside shoulder.

But those are timing routes that Hurts does not feel comfortable throwing.

In your usual rush to judgment you neglect to mention, or perhaps even notice, that the receiver to the bottom of the screen did not look back until he was past that window. Hurts looked to him first but when he saw that the receiver was not expecting the ball he had to go elsewhere with it.

We didn't have a turnover but Hurts fumbled and a linemen picked it up I believe. He also had a most likely interception coming if AJ Brown didn't superman that catch.

Hard to believe but aj actually had 8 targets yesterday.

If he had chopped down Mahomes short of the sticks, which would've been an excellent play as he's probably giving up 30lbs, that would have been one less negative.

I think he had a defensive holding that negated a sack, when he got turned by/tied up with a receiver - rookie mistake.

And he got big boyed by the Kelce, but so did Dejean - Travis isn't an all-pro but he has his moments.

The good way outshined the bad, but Vic has material to work with and teaching to do.

Yup, but they said 27, not 24.

As someone mentioned Hurts gets picked if AJ doesn't make that crazy catch and snatch the ball. It was directly at the Chiefs player

This meme is still relevant. Realistically chase is an awesome wr. Maybe the best in the league. However their oline has been the issue for years. It seemingly is one of the bottom half every year and he has gotten hurt and missed significant time in 3 of his 6 years.

Now for fun, replace 'Anybody' with Jalen Reagor for the top one. I want to see how that turns out. lol

Have they run a RPO so far this season?

I think Patullo is installing a conventional run first offense to protect Hurts (his biggest hit was a scramble in the pocket) but it takes time to polish the change in blocking.

The problem with the RPO is even when Hurts doesn't carry the ball, it's still a free shot on the QB. And when he does, he's less elusive running East-West than North-South.

I hope as they get better running the base ball control offense, he'll start implementing wrinkles to take advantage of teams focused on stopping the run.

A nice inside WR screen for example, instead of the one outside that got blown up when Smith was pushed back 5 yards, running behind OL for good yardage.

They either have to use Calcaterra as a receiver on a regular basis or replace him with a true blocking TE.

I'd like to see more runs out of 4 WR formations where you spread the defense and let Barkley pick a hole.

But I'm not going to worry, they scored 24 and 20 in tough conditions (strange first game where they wanted to limit defensive snaps, one of the toughest venues for a visitng team their second game).
