It would have been close, but I think he could have come down in bounds had he grabbed that pass as we have seen him pull it off before. I agree it proved that Smitty could locate the ball better, but Jalen already seems to have that trust in him. It would be nice to have a better answer than just chuck up a 50/50 ball though.

For purposes of discussion, was it really a 50/50 ball? If indeed Hurts and Devonta had discussed the advantage Devonta had over the KC CB in locating and tracking the incoming pass, under throwing is a good tactical approach to making a 50/50 ball when thrown the full distance, a distinct advantage to Devonta when underthrown.

That was the way it played out. Devonta saw the ball was underthrown, tracked the ball, waited until the last moment and then stopped and turned. The KC CB’s momentum sent him flying by and Devonta had an uncontested catch.

Thoughts?

I'm a big fan of the uncontested 50/50 ball.

That Stafford chump threw the 4th down ball to Puka Nacua about 3 yards out of bounds in the Divisional round.

Bucs OL is banged up but mayfield is still very good throwing hot. I predict we wont blitz much in two weeks

Having good LBs and DeJean should help against Tampa

Tampa’s offensive line is in complete disarray and still has a way better passing offense than the Eagles

I feel like the Eagles would have gotten called for illegal man downfield on that Tampa TD. It seems like they only call that on us

We get a lead this Dline has shown they can get to the QB. Even JD is showing he is a pass rusher now.

Harrison Bryant oaf sighting

Stroud just looks slow to me

Really nice to see that play in slow motion. Five man rush with Campbell blitzing. Front four of Hunt, Carter, Ojomo, Nolan Smith. Baun rotating into Campbell’s abandoned zone. Not sure who rotated into Baun’s abandoned zone. The two deep Safetiesbb CB keeping Kelce in front of them.

Pretty play, outstanding result.

Both our INTs were destined for Pick Sixes but for the absolutely outstanding plays of Dak and Simmons respectively.

This ticky tack hands to the face bs just gives refs another chance to impact the game whenever they see fit

A realization just hit me as I was driving over to CVS tonight...

Kevin Patullo has been the passing game coordinator for the past 4 years here in Philly. Our current passing game sucks. wacko. What was he doing for those 4 years?

I agree. Use all 5 DBs and the 2 ILBs to make it difficult for Baker to locate the seams in the zones for his hot reads.

I like Ryans so I'm hoping Stroud bounces back

To’oTo’o is not a real name. That’s gotta be AI

Perfect example of retractable roof=dome. It's 85 degrees in Houston and looks perfect outside, yet the roof is closed. What's the point of having a roof that opens if you never open it?

Stroud just isn’t that good

The Chiefs had a 78% pressure rate on Hurts on Sunday.

Imagine what kind of fool you have to be to be on a crusade against Hurts after 2 wins in 2 games with about a 61% pressure rate. (42% vs Dallas)

That's like 1985-86 Eagles bad.

To be fair they are playing the Texans, not Spags in Arrowhead.

I've been in that stadium often. Do you keep your house at 85 degrees?

Its 72 or 73 in there and its fantastic.

No, but it's a sporting event that's intended to be played outdoors. I wouldn't expect it to feel like my house. I get it, comfort, but at the same time...come on.
