It could be argued that his penchant for holding down young talent around him while pushing his friends up the card (Brutus the Barber beefcake should never be in the main event picture) destroyed various wrestling promotions like WCW and TNA.

And this is before a lot of his other s*****ness became mainstream

Why don't all teams use the unstoppable tush push? Do Eag...

The Eagles have converted the tush push 96.6% of the time on fourth-and-1, so why don't all teams use it? Here's why.

That was a bunch of

In an effort to lose weight I quit booze the day after Labor Day. Was not thinking about football when I came to that decision. I remain master strategist.

You should be OK with either Vodka, Gin or Tequila depending on how much Schmoopie wants to clean up after you.

For those of you familiar with South Philly…

Thinking about driving up on Sunday and finding somewhere to watch the game. Anyone have any suggestions? Parking? Preferably a divey type bar.

One of my favorite places was the New Wave Cafe back in the day....lost days/weeks/years there lol...don't know if it is still around

If Professional Wrestling is a fool's errand, being the GOAT of Professional Wrestling is the Emperor's New Clothes.

And I say that as a competitive high school and college wrestler. I love and follow the sport of Freestyle Wrestling. Scripted theatrics, not so much.

Kevin "George RR Martin" Patullo

Caught up,with the Blog, post game. That was a brutal loss last Sunday. Was really hoping the Birds could go 2-0. Could have sworn they did but then I read the Blog to stand corrected.

Seriously, I had no problem with the Eagles playing conservative against the stacked box/blitz scheme Spags put up. The bottom line is the Eagles ground out a lead and the D stepped up except Jackson. (But for an overthrown pass to Thornton, he would be burned in effigy by now.)

Couple of thoughts on the offense. Really missing Stoll/Uzomah blocking. At a 4.78, maybe Latu can become a better blocker and fill that role. I also think they miss Johnny Wilson. From the fades from PS but mostly his blocking. Suspect Darius Cooper is getting a crash course in blocking downfield, plus Mechie can block. Still lack the Wilson size. I suspect we see a churn of big WRs and blocking TE tryout. Eagles don’t need speed/hands at TE. Granson/Calcaterra can battle on that. They need that blocker.

Think they also miss what they planned with BVS and Shipley. Fact Shipley wasn’t moved to,IR suggests a mild strain. Probably 2-4 weeks and that means as early as Sunday.

I like that Patullo isn’t on repeat even if he is a bit predictable at this point.

I think we are seeing the impact of the limited contact for the OL in TC/PS. The Spags treatment was a good warmup for them. Good DL to test them this week.

Like mostly what I saw on D. Mahomes got banged around a lot.

Fran Duffy’s breakdown this week was excellent for you Diehards.

On D, the secondary communication isn’t quite there. And having watched Adoree from this season and Ringo from last, I would play Ringo. Curious how McWilliams is doing at nickel at practice. Maybe he is the solution. Love that they hit Mahomes on almost all of his runs.

Note, next year should see some good CBs in the draft plus some TEs that can actually block.

Would be nice to see turnovers as well here.

Yup - likely going to have to replenish the depth of the OL and maybe find a replacement for Reed ($ reasons).

Will Pam Oliver seem bothered about being there? Definite vibes of collecting a pay check from most of her reportng nowadays

Pam has had health issues and her speech is affected. She's had debilitating migraines and some surgeries, as a result she's had I think some brain damage that affects her speech. Fans have thought she had a stroke because the symptoms appear similar. She has powered through it and showed up to do her job. Every year someone thinks she's drunk when they don't know her condition. It's become a running joke on these boards in the GDT.

meh, that GOAT of professional wrestling is also the GOAT for make a wish kids. He literally holds the Guinness Book of world records of fulfilled wishes, hitting 650 wishes granted as of 2022

Wrestling is stupid, but it’s for kids so I give it a pass.

Fair enough.

I'm far more confident in the Rams game than Bucs. I don't think the Rams are that great, their defense I don't think is either even though their pass rush is good. Their secondary can be had. If they can't get the passing game going this game, something's wrong. I maintain Eagles blow them out in the playoffs in normal conditions. Should be able to get pressure on Stafford too. But the Bucs in that heat down there, that will be a tough one.

Fireman’s Carry, but underhooks blocking an attempted takedown was quite effective. The best wrestling moves were the ones that added interest to coed wrestling events.

Some interesting lines for week 3.

Wash is only -3.5 at home against the Raiders. Suggests they don't think The Fraud is playing.

Chargers only -2.5 at home vs the Broncos. Vegas usually gives 3 points to the home team. A line of only 2.5 at home suggests they think the Broncos are the better team and would be favored on a neutral field? I don't get that. Odd line.

Also 0-2 Chiefs -5.5 on the road against the Giants shows how little they think of the Giants, especially for their home opener.

Raidwrs line went from 5.5 to 3 so they definitely don't think Daniels is playing

Home lines are no longer - 3 but actually closer to - 2 at this point. Ever since COVID home field advantage has disappeared. Since, 2019 the home team only wins 52% of the time

The Chargers' HFA is probably the weakest in the NFL. They likely get 1.5 points at the most.

But even with that, the Chargers have looked damn good and the Broncos lost to the Colts and had to fight tooth and nail to barely beat the Titans. Before looking I figured this line would have been like 5.5. Really surprised it's not higher.

The cope is real
