I think this game showed that is not on Barkley...it is the lack of a downfield passing game to help defenses play honest and create space. Olsen was so dead on with his analysis today...

I think Steen is just a bad fit. On the 2008 AR eagles, Steen probably starts over Becton, who had more than a few hiccups in pass pro last year.

But this is a run dominant offense with a lanky angular RG who is better in pass protection than opening up holes on the ground.

We have to HOPE the coaches learned from this.

• Fred Johnson replacing Pryor instantly changed the game.

• Adoree Jackson was finally replaced by Bennett.

• Pass game game alive and executed.

They need to get Barkley involved and run to the outside for God sakes. The O line just isn't opening the holes the same where he could break open big runs from the middle. Need to get him out in space more and try different things to get him going. And probably pass to set up the run because they are focused on stopping him.

The left side of the OL isn’t playing well either and I think Barkley has to wear at least some of it.

If this game gets the Eagles to pass more, it's the most important game of the season.

II'm glad he scored - showed the world that a 340 lb DT can outrun an entire team. Should be a great confidence booster for him - I'm excited to see what is to come. JC & Davis could become the best DT tandem in the league.

The OL isn't the same as last year, Dickinson is probably 80%, Lane injured, and teams focus on Barkley.

So use the pass to set up the run.

I think the Hurt doubters have a lot of crow to eat, I saw maybe three bad passes, the one to Brown on 4th down where he tried to force through two defenders, the onew to Brown in the flat in the red zone (but he might have been throwing it away) and the 2 point conversion.

At least 4 drops.

Imo I actually think the Rams are the toughest matchup for the Eagles in the NFC. Cause their offense is capable of moving the ball with those two wide receivers and they have good concepts. The reason why they continue to lose to the Eagles is because McVey is way too conservative. There were times in that game where he could’ve put his foot on the throat of the eagles and he let the eagles stay in the game. Cant do that with an eagles team capable of scoring a ton of points fast with the playmakers they have. even when we had doug as head coach he was conservative and Doug/eagles had success.

Yeah, that game should have been over at half-time with the the way our O couldn't move the ball or even get a first down post the first short field drive but he kept taking the FGs and kept the score a lot closer than the game that was being played out on the field, and then the Birds flipped a switch in the 2nd half and re-discovered the forward pass!

Cee Dee is hobbling, it could be high ankle sprain.
