Didn’t notice Z Smith at all today after a very good start last week.

Yup be interested to see the snap counts.

Makuba was also invisible.

Is that what he said? I’d agree with him! They’ve been playing safe conservative football so far.

That is interesting because the offense has been a prevent offense until the 3rd qtr of this game ..

Patullo needs to let jalen rip it instead of being so conservative

Clean Pocket - Bad Throw: 2023-25 Mahomes

To build on an earlier post, Fred Johnson was great today. Verse and Young are no jokes and he played great against them. Matt Pryor will never see OT again.

AJ said something similar too. I’m glad they’re starting to speak up. Would love a lip reader to tell us what Hurts was chewing Patullo out for on the sideline.

Matt pryor should never have seen a football field again, I remember watching him his first stint with the birds and thinking hes gotta have the record for slowest OT ever, hes just so useless unathletic bad technique.

When they brought him back there were multiple posters who claimed hed played well last year at guard and as he got older his technique improved, if thats improved then yikes!

Hes useless always has been, id cut him yesterday and not think twice about it

Its refreshing to hear that Wilson felt pretty good after floating an air ball to the Cowboys so that the Giants could lose but he had nice stats.

I'm glad we have Hurts instead of that clown.

I don’t think down&distance was working in Z’s favor, as Vic might be using him more as a DPR at this point.

Looks like Sydney was getting a higher snap share today due to the Rams running the ball a lot out condensed 11 personnel… as a more physical player he likely can work through the trash better and not get picked off by WRs.

He’s a decent guard, not sure why Stout was pushing Toth up and Pryor over once Fred was in the fold.

I felt this way and said it during the game, they felt like they were trying to replicate how they won a lot of games that they did in 2024. I said last year at the end of the year (and even to start this year), you’re very very unlikely going to be able to do what you did in 2024 in terms of Barkley just having a historic rushing season and the pass offense being ranked 30th but super efficient. NFL defenses and coaches had an entire off-season to look at your offense and figure some things out. I really think they were trying to be the 2024 Eagles and carry that over into this season. But the identify has to be different. It’s not the same team even if we have a large contingent of the guys back. We will still have some really good Saquon Barkley games but you’re going to have to throw the ball more. More than likely gonna have to take more chances than we did last year. I thought they got away with trying to be 2024 eagles against a bad cowboys team and a chiefs team that has pedestrian weapons on offense. But the rams (possibly the Bucs too) are the biggest threat in the nfc to the eagles and they were determined not to allow Barkley to kill them like in 2024

Well then why was he at RT???

I just dont get it with Pryor, hes got good size and length but his feet are so slow, hes got zero pop for how big he is

Like I said Ive never been a fan of him at guard or especially OT

Rather than a swing tackle for both RT/LT my guess was that Stout wanted a backup ready at either side.

The NFL will not let the Chiefs lose this game.

Well then thats one of the worst decisions Stout has ever made and almost cost them the game

Pryor is strong but not quick. Toth is more mobile but less strong. Fred has played mostly at LT. He was a game-saver today at RT.

I was surprised Johnson wasn’t in before Pryor especially considering we traded back for him just before the season started. IMO Fred is never going to mailata or lane but i felt last year outside of the Bucs game (everyone wasn’t good) he was fine when he needed to come in. I trust him to be serviceable.

Don't agree with McVay owning Fangio today. The defense was fine today. Good even. You consider the fact that the offense did absolutely nothing and kept giving the Rams the ball back over and over again, with great field position too, only letting up 19 points in the first half is pretty great. Then only 7 second half points. And that TD bomb was OPI, but even if you wanna count that, one big play and making them drive in small chunks. Some of which were really great contested catches by Nakua where they were so close to being incomplete. I was actually pretty damn happy with the defense today. Wished there was a little more pressure from the Edge, but otherwise I was happy.

And I'll never blame anyone but the NFL for the taunting calls. I know rules are rules and all that, but the rule is Fing dumb. These taunting calls are not spiking the football on a dude's face, this is minor trash talk. My god, these guys are competitors, it's an emotional game, stop treating them like children. What are they trying to prove with this rule? Who do they think they are making happy? Because everyone hates the rule.

Here's the new rule for the Eagles. DON'T DO ANYTHING AFTER THE PLAY. Don't spike the ball. Don't ask for a flag. Don't flex. Don't spin the ball. ACT LIKE YOU HAVE BEEN THERE BEFORE and just go back to the m*th*F**n huddle. It is not that hard.

I don't want to see even one more taunting flag on the Eagles. Ever. If they get one, THEY DESERVE IT because they broke the above rule.

Aside from the run blocking woes, my only real complaint is 3 one score wins. It’s not about style points or making it pretty. But statistically speaking, teams with a ton of 1 score wins eventually start popping off losses.

I come out of this game incredibly optimistic. I stipulate that Fangio is a great DC, but clearly, McVay had some ways to attack his defense, a lot of which worked. Now Vic has that approach to cogitate upon. Those plays will not work so well again.

We’re so lucky to have AJ and Devonta. Not only studs, but likable team guys

Now we just need our O-coordinator to finally realize that and dial them up some plays consistently

Why is Toth always around? I have no idea. I wonder if Stoutland values the mental aspect more than the physical because stuff like this just doesn’t make sense.

I think a lot of it has to do with an over-correction from the Hurts we saw in 2023. He was a turnover machine and they wanted to completely flip the offense to run one that is more ball-controlled, conservative, and run through Barkley. And they won a Super Bowl with that.

But there has to be a happy medium between that and having your passing game be non-existent. Maybe it leads to more interceptions, but they have to get these guys involved.
