Well he probably went to Pat's or Geno's, so he's got a point.

Pryor looked like he could hardly move, he was a slug out there. His technique is to either stand in the way or try to push the defender beyond the pocket as they speed rush by. He sadly couldn't do either, and I have no clue why they even let him go back out there after half time.

Why is there a player like Pryor on the team that can't play tackle at all, can't communicate to Barkley which rusher hes taking, etc.? Fred hops right in there, at a position he doesn't play, and is perfectly fine, and you see him communicating to Barkely which rusher hes getting so Barkely can pick up the correct guy in pass pro. I think this is the first time I've ever seriously questioned Stoutland, but what the hell was that?!?

Is Jordan Davis playing himself out of the Eagles price range with the impending Jalen Carter deal? Is the Davis deal going to be on par? Have we overvalued what the Carter contract will be? I don't see a world where at the very least the Eagles have 2 $30+ million/year DT on the team.

First time I've seen from this angle and I never realized how much they completely blew up that left side of the line. They definitely saw something there on film and exposed it multiple times.

Yeah, I'm not buying this narrative that this was some lucky win or a game we shouldn't have won.

I'm also not buying that it was like a 2023 win.

It was none of those. This team finally played their game in the 2nd half and dominated another inferior team.

The only reason the game was close (along with KC and DAL games) was because of the Eagles. Not because of anything else.

This team is a top 2 or 3 team in the league still, and maybe not 2 or 3.

Nothing about this comeback victory was a fluke.

Well Giants were keeping it close but turned into the same ol' Giants. Andy Reid has never had an 0-3 team ever. He's had Five 0-2 starts. 3 with the Eagles and 2 with the Chiefs. Only the 2002 Eagles went on to have a 12-4 Season and make the NFC Championship. The other teams missed the playoffs. So the Chiefs are alive at 1-2. As for the GMen. 0-3 and another terrible start to a season. They are headed to last place again fast.

While the passing game began to show signs of life, we also kept getting in to 3rd and long situations, and then completed them. It wasn't smooth.

But it does feel like if we pass 3 times, we will get the 10 yards with these WRs. Even if 1st and 2nd down get us nothing. They did it repeatedly yesterday.

They need to improve it next week to where it is more efficient. Efficiency with 4 yard passes is meaningless. We need to see that real passing game from yesterday's second half, become efficient.

Then, this team is unstoppable.

Jordan Davis is creating a dilemma. I can’t see any way we sign both him and Carter to a 2nd contract.

Did you ever consider a world where we have two $25M/year WRs?

We have the second best second-half defense (EPA/drive) in the league.

Btw any chance we find someone who can catch a kickoff?

And at least one isn’t happy about his workload. Also - DTs rotate a lot more than WRs. We won’t have two DTs who play 90% of the snaps.

I am not ready to completely blow up the KR's. There was a great shot of exactly what the Rams kicker was doing with the ball. He was hitting a nasty wobbling knuckleball on line drive called a "dirty kick". The trajectory and movement of the ball was highly unusual and the fact that it was fooling the receivers on more than one occasion actually says more about the kicker than the receivers. I doubt we see something similar the rest of the season, not that there won't be kickers who will try.

Looks like they scrapped the 12 personnel.

I remember a tweet someone posted a couple weeks before the season of some talking head saying Daboll ks the best HC in the division.

Davis is still a NT with minimal sack numbers. Hes not making 30m$, and the highest paid DT is at 31.

I could see a scenario where Howie convinces them to take a package type deal where they make 25 and 35. If we were really in on Micah, we have the room for it

We also could just let Jordan play out this season, play out next season, franchise in 2027 for 20-something million, then get a third, or extend him after we’ve cut bait with Lane, maybe Baun, maybe AJ

Yeah, it looked like the original plan was more of the same plus some QB runs mixed in and 11 vs 12 personnel, but Lane going down and Pryor going in scuttled that.

Throwing 33 times is a bit more than I want, but with Saquon bottled up Jalen is going to have make up that production without turning the ball over.

The next step would be an aggressive enough passing game, so that defenses can’t key so heavily on Saquon - in any case, the OL/scheme doesn’t seem to have the ability to dictate the run like in previous seasons.

Yeah the way the D’s are playing us now it either means more passing or more Hurts running is needed.

Was clearly effective, why don’t more kickers do it ?

A look at the 1st down activity during the Fred era (so this is the good part):

8yd pass

7yd run

33yd pass (TD)

Incompletion

7yd pass

9yd run

12yd run

0yd run

1yd run

0yd run

Incompletion

11yd run

2yd run

0yd run

2yd run

-5yd run

16 plays, 11 run vs 5 pass, 39yds rushing (3.5 YPC) vs 48yds passing (9.6 YPA). Looking at the median as a measure of consistency, the run game is getting like 1.5yds per carry (oof, and this is 1st down, not TP time).

Luckily Davis is signed through the 2026 season and Carter through 2027. I am not worrying about it this season.

I don’t think it’s easy to do or control those types of kicks. I suspect kickers will be trying it more, though.
