Agree to disagree. As far as should we sign him. I liked him but there is a reason he was traded twice so I'd find it hard fetched for them to sign him.

I think it was what the Rams were doing… running the ball, throwing underneath to Puca and attacking outside the numbers. Mukuba was playing deep, and Sydney was coming in on base.

It was better last year, but yeah we've reverted to what we were seeing in 2023 on obvious passing situations. It's painful to watch at times.

Okay, but has this been a thing for all the time Kellen Moore has been a coach? Did Dak have answers against the blitz? Did the Chargers when he was there? If not, why? People have insisted that this is the offense Jalen wants to run, so...

Are we really sure it's not just what Jalen wants to run? How is Danny Dimes doing with Steichen, and what about other variants that Reich has run?

I doubt it's that Kellen Moore doesn't know the importance of throwing hot, so...

Yup. That's accurate. This was bizarre, both knees seemed to hit the fence at different times and both seemed to end up injured. Maybe only the one.

The teams they played are 1-5 when not playing them.

The Chargers are 3-0.

The teams they beat are 3-3 when not playing the Chargers.

The 49ers are also 3-0 with opponents that are 4-2 but 3 of those 7 wins are vs New Orleans and another was AZ - Sea playing each other.

Just watched the 4th and 1 play. Davis made a great play. Carter lined up over the left tackle and was by him instantly and in the backfield with hands on the RB. Wouldn't mind seeing Carter over the tackle more often. Maybe shift him pre-snap to get him one on one.

I think Nolan Smith is going to get going. That arm brace he's playing in is practically a cast. He was a pretty explosive hand fighter last year and I'm sure that's hurting him. He is a wide pass rusher and Carter really needs to do more to help Smith connect around the edge.

Hunt seems to be having a rougher go of it, IMO.

Last year Hurts numbers vs the blitz were good under Moore I thought? It was 2023 they had issues.

I wasn't making a qualitative statement, I was asking actual questions based on the 3 years mentioned in the post I was replying to. If I was trying to make a qualitative post, I would have done all the research myself and posted the data. What I was trying to say essentially, was that if it was 3 years like the post I quoted was referring to, then what's the answer as to why?

I remember people talking about Jalen not having good hot answers last year too, but maybe they're just exaggerating?

Maybe. I remember it differently. 2023 I remember lots of talk about why they didn’t have any "blitz beaters” but last year I thought most of the talk was about how much they had improved against the blitz.

Either way this year has been confusing to say the least with the play calling and play designs IMO.

Yeah. I don't know why it is but the Eagles in most of my time watching them didn't have a lot of the traditional hot read kind of play design, and I can't for the life of me get why. It's true that having people with wheels helps as well, but the reality is, if you have someone with wheels and good blitz beating scheme designs, just that by itself is enough to absolutely infuriate defenses. Don't blitz, run straight at them, blitz, throw hot or run. Nightmare for defenses.
