The funny thing is, the concern was for the QB being pushed and have their neck snapped back. Not the OL. Lane still would've suffered the same injury on a non push play and a regular QB sneak.

Basically, every argument to ban the push could apply to a basic QB sneak play. The Eagles would use the same formation.

Lane is practicing so that's good. Never heard of someone being placed on IR with a "triceps tweak" though. Usually it's just a strain and they miss a week or two or it's torn.

It really makes me think that it didn't fully heal from the time he got the surgery and that's why he's been playing with the brace.

That's the thing with Nolan Smith. He wasn't healthy coming in to the league and hasn't shown he can stay healthy so far. I love everything about him, but health is an issue. The Eagles HOPE he's back after week 9. That's 6 weeks. I'm guessing he re-tore his triceps. Full recovery is 6-9 months and he was back on the field with a brace probably around 5 months.

I'd rather Eli Ricks than Nickerson at CB.
