Adding to Kool Aid talk, apparently rookie CB Quincy Riley has looked really good in his spot playing time this season.

Interesting, huh Howie...

Meanwhile. (Also the big dude had a dive and tackle, that had to hurt).

I wanted to see Eric appear like the Ultimate Warrior running to the ring.

Unstoppable in the red zone!

It’s my understanding that Parry Nickerson won’t be starting Sunday.

Hear ya. But this guy hasn't taken an NFL snap on defense in a few years since Vikings. Only an injury or two away from seeing snaps. Howie gotta do better.

Phillips from Miami. Played under Vic, has a high upside, rental, Miami is cooked... As long as Vic gives a bright green light on it then that could be an easier and logical move to make.

Heavy pass for me

No clue Smith was hurt. Glad we got Smith as a backup

The thing is, Smith is a backup and the Eagles just lost a starter. Nolan Smith was getting the most snap counts at edge and it wasn't particularly close. They can't rely on Za'Darius Smith to eat up all of those snaps.

I wouldn't mind seeing Jalen Carter get some edge reps with Ojomo and Davis at DT and even getting Ty Robinson some burn. Get your best players on the field. I think what we'll see is some sort of combination of Patrick Johnson and one of Ojulari/Ogbo.

With Latu being on the active roster now, I can see Calcaterra being inactive. He went from 53 snaps against the Chiefs down to 13 against the Rams. With Calcaterra down, you can dress the extra edge rusher if needed, although Smith's IR spot opens that up too.

Edge snap counts this year.

vs. Cowboys:

Smith- 82% (52 snaps)

Hunt- 64% (39 snaps)

Uche- 31% (19 snaps)

Johnson- 20% (12 snaps)

vs. Chiefs:

Smith- 73% (44 snaps)

Hunt- 57% (34 snaps)

Smith- 33% (20 snaps)

Uche- 27% (16 snaps)

Johnson- 10% (6 snaps)

vs. Rams:

Smith- 70% (46 snaps)

Hunt- 65% (43 snaps)

Smith- 36% (24 snaps)

Uche- 29% (19 snaps)

Trade the picks and get them back from NO later for McKee 😎

Yea, at most, Nickerson should be activated from the PS on gameday, not taking up an active roster spot. Seeing Nickerson on the 53 and Watkins on the PS was enough to make me wince today.

What did he mean "Go get Eric"? You go get Eric if you're not doing anything constructive. At least the chicks mostly stayed out of it, although they nearly got trampled.

I was curious to see who Eric was; he obviously wasn't the security guy because he did absolutely nothing. These clowns can't even fight with the other team's fans.

You never know, it could work out to be a blessing in disguise. Get Epps, Ricks, and Dixon some reps and maybe one of them develops into a nice depth piece. Latu might find a role at FB.

Bennett hadnt stolen Adoree Jackson's spot, so IMO the only big loss is Nolan

I didn't Jackson played that bad on Sunday.

I think it was the guy in the Hurts jersey that started it.

Carter DID get a few snaps at edge against the Rams. Well, quasi-edge. The Eagles lined up in a 4-man front and he was between the TE and RT. Smith showed outside but dropped so Carter was the edge. Here are two angles:

I think his health was the big concern coming out of college. It turns out that has been an issue.

Reggie White was pretty close to 300 lbs at DE. He had more length but it's not too different.

Bucs ran a lot of zone last year under Liam and he was under the tree of McVay who gashed us with the outside zone last week. Anyone know if they still run a lot of zone and wonder how we adapt to it this week? Wonder if we counter with some bear fronts to start the game.

And even with that the team chose to move on from him... TWICE, as has 3 other teams. Clearly there's something to that.

Money was a big factor. He got paid more than they wanted to give him the first time, and the second time he was due a big signing bonus and supposedly wanted to re-work his deal. If his options are limited he might have to settle for a really cheap deal which is a big difference from the other two situations. The fact is, the defense and team is better with him on it.

So the injury bug finally hit. Thankfully it wasn't that bad

knocks on wood

He also said that Dak Prescott and Jordan Love were the best QB's in the NFL. He is either a moron, took too many hits to the head, or realizes he can get attention by saying stupid things.

I’ve told my experience with San Fran fans back in 2006 a thousand times but yeah, they are a bunch of thugs

Not "move him to edge" but rather "help cover for Smith" for a couple games until Smith is back.

Once Dean gets back and maybe even with Trotter Jr, throwing some 3 - 3 - 5 looks could be a way to eat some of Smith's snaps
