Theoretically, 100%. Trouble is, can you name the last decent starting quality OT to hit the free agent market that actually switched teams? I can't. Just the way you put it made it sound like it was an annual occurrence and that it would automatically be available as an option come next off-season. I just don't see it as a likely option. Theoretically, it is, but the harsh reality is that the dominance and sustained excellence the Eagles have had for nearly 2 and a half straight decades is a luxury in the NFL and one that I think many Eagles fans take for granted. All NFL teams want what the Eagles have upfront, but very very very few actually have it. And even fewer have been able to sustain it like the Eagles have. In fact, I'd say NO team in the NFL has like the Eagles. Howie will pay the price, whatever it is, to do it... but there has to be that option available. And stoutland is great, but he's no miracle worker. He needs the right clay to work with and that's not always easy to find. The Eagles have even screwed it up in the past. (Andre Dillard)

So, I just wanted to point out that it's not as simple as Howie waving a wand and finding one. Is there a free agent next year that you have an eye on that fits that description?

Of course. I was following my thought from a prior post where I listed a number of options. I don't know whether there will be a viable free agent or not. It's just a list of options not that deep. FA, draft, trade or in house development, they will be on top of it and have to address it whichever way is best.

And I think that would only be on 4th down and goal if the Eagles give them a chance.

The Eagles will play the hurry-up game if they have to with him. That means running the hurry-up after a tush push with him in the game, or running the hurry-up to execute the tush push to ensure that Tampa cannot substitute.

TB can always call a timeout of course

Indeed they do, but of those options, the one they have proven to have the best track record for, and allows for the most options is via the draft. Trouble is, the cost to move up from very late Round 1 to get most of those guys in the draft. Very few last past around pick 15 or so of Round 1.

Absolutely, and that is part of the gamesmanship as well. Make them waste their timeouts.

He will only get in the game on a tush push play.

And we immediately check to a different play and go no huddle 11 vs 10.

Bowles already said he’s not playing. He said his role is simulating Jordan Davis during practice

Bowles knows.

For sure but worth it if they could stop the TP on a key 4th down play.

We go from Lee Corson and his traditional head gear picks to Pat McAfee taking his shirt off for his picks? 2 weeks in a row he's disrobed to make a pick. Interesting move ESPN.

I would be very happy if they burned their timeouts that way.

A) Does Q follow Egbuka? My assumption is that Godwin will stay in the slot vs Dejean.

B) Who is Mike Evan’s backup, Sterling Sheppard - Ringo matchup?

Sounds about right.

Illinois no fumble vs USC but the refs called it a fumble and they felt like maybe the ball was slightly lose and refs are always right so its still a fumble...

People bet on these games.

Great advice from Peterson. Epic. I'm sure this is the first time Barkley heard this.

I want so bad to see the Jalen Hurts MVP season after he was robbed in 2022 for missing just 2 games at the end of the year. Which really if anything should have just strengthened his MVP eligibility since the Eagles went 0-2 without him but 14-1 with him that season. Especially since he got injured in that Chicago game yet still played from like the 2nd quarter on in that game. I was at that game too. Probably the coldest game I've been to and I've been to a lot of games over the decades. The wind off the lake was absolutely brutal where I was at. The stadium isn't the greatest either for escaping that sort of thing, although there were some areas. Anyway, if Jalen plays 16-17 games this season and the Eagles land the #1 seed then I think he will end up season MVP finally.

He played great but he wasn't robbed. Mahomes was simply on another level in the regular season that year
