I've got my new DeJean jersey ready and I've brought out all my old gear (shirts, hats, toy helmets, etc.) and the man cave is ready to go. 2:20am start over here and my English buddy is joining. He's become a HUGE fan over the last few years. Luckily, neither of us have to work tomorrow.

So many years of watching the Birds in the middle of the night. Love that they have these prime time games, but working the next day has always been quite challenging. 😅

Also off tomorrow, so I can soak in the entire game without any worries.

The "more” is literally just the Eagles called about him. That’s it.

correct

ESPN loves the Cowboys so much.

Orlovsky just said Slay and Hall of Fame together to try to cope. 🤣

Jerry might be old, stubborn and a terrible "owner” GM, but even he isn’t THAT stupid.

No way would they have traded Parsons to Philly.

Sounds like you two will have a great time even without the lube!

Years ago I watched all of the middle of the night games. Then it started to be NFC East and playoff games only and now I'm down to special games like tonight and playoffs. Good thing we have the option to watch the full replay right away on Gamepass when we wake up.

Should absolutely be worried about the OC until we know what we have in him. OC isn't just the playbook, it's creating the gameplan on how to attack the opposing defense and then the live in game play calling as the game is playing out.

The Parsons tidbit in and of itself isn't all that interesting, but what you can take from it is the Eagles aren't so jammed up cap-wise to where they simply cannot trade for a star player. They can... if they believe that player is good and young enough. Parsons obviously fit the bill for both.

I guess I haven’t matured enough yet to skip the live events. 😃 I’m still at stage one and with the recent success, it might go for a couple more years. I’d probably not be able to hold off looking up the score the next day if I missed the game.

My thoughts on America's Game...

Really nice to get some more insight from Hurts. He's more cryptic during the pressers - he opened up a bit more for this. It was also good to see the Hurts and Sirianni have a positive relationship.

Leaving out the Carter sack against the Rams was ridiculous. Dean's INT against the Jags as well. I know it's supposed to be a celebration of a SB Champion, but they glossed over their poor performances too often.

There have been "The Immaculate Reception", "The Catch", "The Holy Roller", and the "Philly Special". We can now add "The Dagger" to that list.

We'll get him in four years when he'll be hunting for a ring.

Expecting a Reed extension very soon

It was just a dumb joke.

I wasn't criticizing you or your comment. I was just taking the opportunity to complement RTK on his new approach.

Howie calls everyone, it's his job. Reporters then blow it up to "serious interest."

It ain't serious until a realistic offer is made and discussed.

Agreed 100%. He also calls to give the other GM the opportunity to say "No" to him. It makes the next "real" call, when he really does want to make a trade happen, go easier.

I believe "worried" is too strong a word. It indicates an expectation of a negative outcome. "Curious" is the more neutral word I would use. I will be on the edge of my seat though, and the curiosity level will be very high.

Hurts publicly said he's not changing so I doubt they got someone who will go too far from what we've seen

Not changing what?

There should be an expectation of a negative outcome given the track record we have had of internal hires to be first time OCs.

I think the overall key for the season is how well the Eagles replaced their B-level players.

Sweat

CJGJ

Milton

Slay

Bechton

If Hunt, Brown, Ojomo, Jackson, and Steen can show they’re little to no drop off, there’s no doubt that the Eagles are the most talented team in the league.

Confident in Hunt, Ojomo and Steen. Think Brown and Jackson are going to be somewhat platooning with Mukuba and Bennett. Til someone becomes obvious and takes over each respective position. Fangio will masterfully use them according to their strengths. For now, Jackson and Brown are better against the run. Will see if they can hold up against the pass. In obvious passing downs, I see Bennett and Mukuba getting some snaps until they ease in and hopefully take over full time.
