We just beat the Bucs in Tampa after beating the Rams and KC on the road. I get that we don't like when the O has bad drives or the D gives up plays but when did the bar become every drive needs to be perfect?

You should watch the game again. They had 7 punts.

They had like 22 yards in the 2nd half.

Bowels saved them by playing 5 minute drill, assuming an 8 point TD was free, Tampa burning clock and never trying to score on a D that was giving up big plays.

They don't get Bowels coaching the other team again this year.

The defense really stepped up despite Ringo sucking, injuries and the refs calling flags every other play. The two long TD passes were bad, Fangio was pissed, they're going to get that cleaned up.

Those were on the Rookies. Learning moment for them. Good news is they get the lesson without the loss. I have few concerns about the defense.. Even with Jackson out there they have shut teams down in the 2nd halves... today's game excepted but that was extended drives by penalties and no long drives for TDs.

Yeah, I didn’t get it. He started to slide. You’re not allowed to hit a quarterback once he starts to slide. How they pick that up was ridiculous. It was also a little crazy to me how they didn’t check him for a concussion. Because when he got up, it looked like he was woozy.

I don't think it's the bar needs to be perfect.

I think the bar is the offense shouldn't have 20 plays for 11 yards in an entire half of football

Yup - AJ is a beast, but you can’t big boy everybody.

AJ looked like DK Metcalf from 2022-24

They very much did not look the same today.

I thought that too but the slow mo had his shoulder hit and not his head. I was scared lol

His head still slammed on the ground.

I think the bigger issue to me is they look completely inept. Not just a puny here and there. Second half they had a net total yards of -17. Was 22 before the safety. Like it’s not like they are just not clicking every possessions. They are atrocious for nearly entire halves of games. We’ve been fortunate in some of these games where we are awful for halves but the defense given us a turnover in opponent territory and we converted.

Hope jags beat niners. Why do they have hunter playimg wr/db?

Chiefs with their WRs are gonna settle right atop the AFC

I know Ojomo gets the sack late on the last drive, but what a play by Carter. In real time, Carter really timed the snap and crashed straight into the OL...no hitting a gap nor did he veer toward the QB. I believe the play call was designed for Carter to push back the OL so Ojomo could loop behind him. Great execution and what an effort by both players...Mayfield looked almost shocked with Ojomo getting a free run on him.

Baun also a nice job on that play. If Ojomo didn't get him Baun was.

Hurts and DeVonta were both nailed on illegal hits but since they play for the Tush Push team... no player safety for them?

As far as the defense goes...the mistakes were obvious but all very fixable. From game one I have been impressed by the collective effort especially the back 7...they are really flying around and making tackles. Ringo will only get better with experience...he has to be given playing time. He is still adjusting to the speed.

To justify the pick. He's not a #3 overall talent.

Meh. That defense doesn't look the same

I meant a bigger trade than that one lol

I doubt any team would be willing to part with a bigger piece than that at this point.

I feel like they’ve always wanted Ringo to win that job, he just didn’t show enough in camp. With that good outing today I don’t know if Jackson gets his job back. Might want to keep Ringo in to get his reps and find some comfort.

Naaah..everyone in the league now knows the Chiefs have a glass chin and are a bleeder. They can be out-physicaled.

Because they are an unserious organization

Won't happen but he's out there

I can't see him and Hurts getting along plus They won't change mid season after the mess in 2023

Niners have an easy schedule

1st and goal jags

I know everyone hates Patullo. But he's a distant second when it comes to ranking the biggest changes on offense between 2024 and 2025.

This is an offense predicated on a historically dominant running game. Blame injuries, blame age, blame fatigue...those are explanations/excuses, but they don't count for anything on the field. This run game went from historically dominant to BAD. Overnight. And the team, offense, scheme, expectations, playcalling...are all built around a dominant running attack. So they are all grasping to adjust. It's not ALL on Patullo. This would have been an issue for last year's staff if the running game sucked this badly too.

We didn't use empty as a way to get them spread out. That was one of our best tools last week.

If the Eagles can correct the problems on offense then they have 2 3/4 really tough games left on the schedule.

at Green Bay

at Buffalo

3/4 Detroit in Philly (they are a much better team when in Detroit)

If they can't fix the offense then they have 8 tough games left.

NYx2

Dallas

Chicago

Vegas

are the softer teams.

The schedule got easier with Nabors going down.

This doesn't mean they can't lose extra games with fumbles or stupid penalties or just dumb luck or a letdown.
