As far as the defense goes...the mistakes were obvious but all very fixable. From game one I have been impressed by the collective effort especially the back 7...they are really flying around and making tackles. Ringo will only get better with experience...he has to be given playing time. He is still adjusting to the speed.

The pass rush isn’t great, both big plays were the result of Baker extending the play. Mukuba should have intercepted that ball but got lost at the last moment, and Campbell’s coverage was decent considering he became the only defender on that side of the field. Ringo did better than I expected except tackling (weird), but I’m sure having to cover the WR3 had something to do with it.

We just beat the Bucs in Tampa after beating the Rams and KC on the road. I get that we don't like when the O has bad drives or the D gives up plays but when did the bar become every drive needs to be perfect?

I'll take somewhere between every drive being perfect and 5 3 and outs in a single half?

Thoughts:

The heat got to the team in the 2nd half, they gutted it out, but the league shouldn't allow TB to put the visitors in the sun, at least force a coin flip or require cooling shade and equipment - that's dangerous.

I think that was one reason for conservative playcalling, shorten the game and keep the defense off the field in the heat.

Got to give this team credit, they hung in there when their legs went dead.

Hurts really didn't have many open targets the second half, not sure how much was his decision, but they were definitely forcing the ball to Brown.

Barkley may not be as explosive as last season, but it's obvious that basically every 1st and 10 is a "run blitz", even with 7 man fronts they're firing right at Barkley off the snap.

I'll have to ask @JustRelax, but do they ever run traps or other plays to take advantage of overaggressive defenders?

Siri wants to establish a power running game but it's not going to be there this season, Dickinson and Lane are less than 100%, Steen is better pass blocker but not a beast like Becton.

So you have to adjust, use the pass to set up the run, use the screen to slow down the blitz, use crossing patterns and rubs to free up Brown, use the TE down the seam to keep safeties honest.

Run more draws with Barkley.

And Barkley has to study film on blitz pickup, keeps picking the wrong man and will get Hurts killed.

Mukuba should have intercepted that pass if he was a yard deeper, got caught flatfooted.

Can't blame Campbell, he had Irving covered in the flat for 4-5 seconds, then got beat downfield but you really can't ask a LB to cover for that long, though I'm sure he'll improve with experience.

Pass rush was concerning, then they started stunting and game was over.

Got lucky with the Irving fumble, then DeJean just missed catching the interception, the Campbell interception wasn't luck or even a bad decision, Blackenship tipped it.

This team isn't close to playing their best yet, they should handle the Giants (2), Denver at home and I'm not sure Minnesota is that tough on the road. They could be 7-1 going into the buye.

Td jags

I can’t find replays of niners turnovers lol

Dak, Mahomes, Stafford, Mayfield was a QB challenging gauntlet. 4-0

Next four QBs - Nix, Dart,, Wentz/JJ, Dart.

Patullo doesn’t design the scheme. He adds to what the Eagles scheme already was. The individual play calls like the coward’s draws are on Patullo, but the schemes design where you have 4 curl routes and nothing interesting to scheme guys open is Sirianni.

Be thankful, this team isn't the Titans

In basic terms, when the opposing defense schemes to slow down/stop the run, the Eagles will have single coverage looks to AJ Brown, Smith and Goedert. They simply have to hit those plays consistently.

Didn’t Hurts only have one incompletion the entire first half? Obviously, the Bucs made a halftime adjustment on defense and the Eagles couldn’t solve it.

And some of the offense in the 2nd half of on Hurts too. There were multiple plays where he stared down AJ Brown and didn’t even look at anyone else on offense, and he missed an open man on a coupe plays I saw.

Solid? Are you sure?

Ringo's tackling was reminiscent of Castellanos going after those sliders low and away.

At least he jumped on the fumble.

Teammate comment. He’s never going to throw any of his linemen under the bus but I’ll do it. It starts with them.

Smart enough to not use the word arse to describe the team too.

Won't happen but he's out there

I can't see him and Hurts getting along plus They won't change mid season after the mess in 2023

Yep Hurts had a bad few series for sure. Easily could have had an INT

And....if Barkley never gets another yard let alone another 100 yard game.....will always be thankful for last year!!

& that’s a big loss for them. But with Dart injecting some excitement over there they’ll be playing with house money, & it’s possible Eagles could overlook them. I also feel weird about how it’ll go since we play them twice in three weeks

The kid does some dumb things, but he doesn't hide from getting out there when not 100% healthy

Tuten is looking the part, still waiting for some more Ship/Tank playing time.

Seems likely that one week at some point the bounces will all go against us etc. giants are bad tho. Would take quite a dud from us to lose
