I do love the PFF rankings for each player being pushed. Might as well tell us each players Zodiac sign too. Its just about as relevant.

I have a hard time believing individual players on offense are falling off the cliff at the same time...I am still leaning towards scheme and play calling. At the start of today's game the Eagles were stretching the Bucs defense horizontally and vertically and it was opening things up...where did that go? I watch games all day where players are running open in schemes...there is absolutely no reason why the Eagles can't do that. I do think the OL is not entirely healthy, but there are still schemes that can take the pressure off them. What I really miss on offense is the fun element...although I did like a couple of the wrinkles today...the Lions are always trying fun plays and it excites the players. They seem to always be having fun.

We are 4-0 and Mukuba is learning on the job in some high leverage situations, it would be stupid to put him back to the bench and show the 2nd round pick was a waste.

Christian Gonzalez is the one who comes to mind for me.

I agree. It’s why I don’t know the reason you would want to trade AJ Brown to get a safety. additionally you have options in FA like CJGJ and Simmons if they did want a safety. Which frankly they don’t. They’re fine. The early season experience is gonna help Mukuba long term

I think the Eagles had fun offensively in the first half too. 3 and outs generally aren't fun.

Thoughts:

The heat got to the team in the 2nd half, they gutted it out, but the league shouldn't allow TB to put the visitors in the sun, at least force a coin flip or require cooling shade and equipment - that's dangerous.

I think that was one reason for conservative playcalling, shorten the game and keep the defense off the field in the heat.

Got to give this team credit, they hung in there when their legs went dead.

What???! lol put visitors in the shade, coin flip ? It’s called home field advantage. That’s like saying we should’ve moved the playoff game against the rams indoors due to snow.

Tbh the second half reminded me of the Phillies when everyone decides to go into an offensive slump at the same time.

You say you're not advocating for this...

I am actually more for the NFL doing like what the University of Arizona does. The University of Arizona a few years ago got rid of noon (really day games) in September. Because it is way too hot as it is a potential issue for not only the players but fans watching the game. The did research with just how harmful it could be playing in that type of heat conditions

Frankly this game considering both were expected to be good and both won their division last year should’ve been SNF or late afternoon.

Bland is only starter I recognize

Yea seeing everyone suck all at once screams scheme, IMO. The odds of them all falling off a cliff at the same time are astronomically low

Again, I also said if they did, which meant if they wanted to go out and get a safety. I don’t think they do nor do I think they need to.

If the hypothetical playing out is, we’re gonna trade AJ Brown for a safety, I’d rather keep AJ Brown, and just sign one of those two guys as the alternative. Then again, I don’t see us trading for safety or signing one.

When Hurts lowered his shoulder on the sideline on the 38 yard scamper and was banged hard by the Bucs defender, I thought he looked a little funny when the camera showed his face immediately after getting up. He did play the rest of the game, but I wonder if that hit rattled him which affected the rest of the game.

They aren’t falling off. On rewatch the skill players look plenty explosive. It’s scheme, play design, and execution from the QB and protection. It’s a little bit of everything. The coaches need to trust their QB more. A coward’s draw = I don’t trust my QB to pick up yards while mitigating risk. Hurts has earned the right to be trusted, let him rip it.

absolutely not. The best thing for both parties is the coaching staff & Jalen trying to get AJ the ball. Good things happen when it does

Sure, trade one of your best players when you’re trying to repeat and have a window here to go on a franchise-legendary run.

That's a troll account. He only posts to say negative stuff about the Eagles and was openly rooting for Dallas a couple years back. Frankly, not sure why it hasn't been banned yet if Random Regular was.

Yeah dont pay attention to that poster. He's definitely not an Eagles fan.

I don't know why anybody takes his bait.

Thought theyd give him some carries because hes better than Dillon. In fact, that Dillon 11 yard run early in the game, Bigsby probably scores on that one.

He did show some juice on his one KR today. But I want more contribution.

Dillon should not be on the team, I really don’t get why he is after you got Bigsby. They don’t need 4 RBs on the roster.

curious if the other team 2 years ago that didn’t complete a pass in the second half won

Well, we are 1/4 through the old 16 game season length. My quarter season awards:

Offense:

MVP: Everyone on offense besides the interior OL and Barkley have had their share of highs and lows. But this is Jalen's offense this year. He's the MVP. He has done just enough each week, even if the stats are so meager.

Biggest surprise: really, no one. Not to be critical, but expectations were high for every starter. So I'm not sure if anyone on offense has exceeded expectations.

Biggest disappointment: Barkley. Not close.

Best rookie: n/a

Defense:

MVP: I think it's fair to share this small sample size with Dejean/Baun/Davis...IMO, the best player in each level of the defense so far. Mitchell deserves major props too, but he had some struggles in weeks 1-2, so I'll give the nod to Dejean for now.

Biggest surprise: Davis, easily.

Biggest disappointment: Carter, easily. Nice job on the Ojomo sack, which is the last memory from today. But not nearly as disruptive as we'd hoped and what positive plays he does make have been more than cancelled out by his yellow flags.

Best rookie: Obviously, Campbell.

For as good as he was today, he got away with a lot. He was VERY grabby. I'd imagine refs start looking for that more.

He pretty much fell on his face for the Campbell INT. To be fair, a better job on that play prevents Mayfield from getting the pass off at all and we don't get the INT.

I want more of Ship too. And either Tank or Dillion. It's a talented room.

And the O-Line is not "just one block away". More like 3. And they seem banged up. And so far the scheme of the O is........blah.

Siri is in charge of these men. He needs to do his job.

They need to stop taunting and fighting against losers.

Turn away. Say nothing. Walk away. Celebrate with your teammates.

Say anything you want on the sidelines later to coaches and teammates.

Crush them on the next play but within the rules.

I did not like the call on DeJean but he gave the refs the chance to nail him.

Just turn away, find a teammate, and do that goofy hands in the air move with them.

Carter needs to work on keeping his hands off the QB's head and to stop being angry after the play. Save it for the next play.

They have to lead the league in 15 yard penalties and it needs to stop. This was a blowout without all those 15s.

Dallas was a blowout without the 15s.

Maybe they were boarding the flight back to Philly

Packers (4th & 2) & Cowboys (4th & 1) both lined up just to try and get a penalty, let the play clock run out and took the delay of game penalty.

Losers.
