You do realize that Hurts checks into and out of plays, calls the protections, and decides where the ball goes.

Also, the guys on the other side are trying to win the game as well.

The Birds are 4-0 after starting 2-2 last year. Would you guys rather them have had big numbers in a 40 point Tie like Greenbay and the Boys? Or Jalen throw 450 yards like Russell and the GMen in a Loss? My point is yes there are always things to clean up but the Eagles are on a historical 20-1 run. They are winning every which way. I think it's great they are 4-0 and haven't even stepped on the gas yet.

My concern is they are stepping on the gas and can't go over 15 mph.

Hurts wasn't right in the second half.

His cage was rattled after he took that lick on the sideline after that 38 yard rush in the second quarter

Just to try and be a little positive....

  • The Bills are also 4-0, but they somehow were in a competitive game with the Saints. It was a 2 point game after 3.5 quarters, and the Bills were at home. They've beaten 3 winless teams (one of the Jets or Dolphins will get a win tonight, unless there is another tie) and a 1 win team (Baltimore). And no one is saying the sky is falling despite being tied with Miami and only up 2 on New Orleans in the 4th quarter in back to back weeks

  • We own the tie breaker with the Rams and Bucs

  • The Packers, who everyone crowned after week 1, lost to the Browns and just gave up 40 points to a Dallas team with no Ceedee and 2 backup offensive linemen

  • The Commanders gave up 34 points to a team that was shut out by the Panthers last week

  • The Chargers somehow lost to the Giants and a rookie QB making his 1st start

Point being...the NFL is weird in September but it also looks like there are no great teams. We might feel like the valedictorian of summer school right now, but we're still the best in the league.

Do you think he could make it look better AND win? Asking for a friend.

They weren't going to do much this season but this hurts them more

Might help them not win too many games and gets them a better draft pick for future development. Might be the best in the long run.

I don’t know how the official didn’t notice it taking the ball from him.

What was Jalen doing here? As clean of a pocket as you can ask for and this is the throw? For those saying he got a concussion, this is one of the glaring misses that would justify that idea.

It's a bad throw. All of his throws looked bad after the hit he took when he was sliding. It's possible he had a concussion. It's also possible he hit his shoulder. It looks like he's struggling to put air under the ball.

It actually feel like they are driving in a residential neighborhood, lol. I Honestly feel this was our true Preseason. It was a brutal four game stretch with every team wanting to beat us badly. A month like last year should be enough to get this going.

After that play i think all of on here said no reason to take that extra shot for maybe an extra half yard. Just go out of bounds. It was a vicious shot there too

Of course, there's plenty of blame to go around.

I happen to think our guys are much better and should be dominating. That's just me though.

I agree with both your paragraphs.

Regarding your final point, it isn’t just you, but comparing these first four games to the first four games last year, or the first four games of 2023, or the first four games of all the other 31 NFL teams, I’m pleasantly pleased with where this team is. Unlike 2023 the 4-0 is against quality opponents rather than push overs. Unlike 2024 where Tampa Bay blew us out and we all were very concerned about the real possibility that 2-2 could easily be 1-3, there are not substantial changes that need to be made between Game 4 and Game 5.

So at the risk of being too complacent, I’m sitting back and thinking about the 4 quarters from halftime against the Rams to halftime yesterday … Eagles 50 Opponents 13

Sure, essentially all but one team has their flaws exposed at some point when the SB is over. fwiw so far they've beaten KC, Rams and Bucs with the flaws.

And a Cowboys team that just put up 40 on the Packers.

I can't find the clip anymore. Which shoulder was it?

I put this out there last night but the bills might not face a team over .500 until November 2 against the chiefs. The next 3 games (besides their bye) are New England (2-2), Atlanta coming off a bye at (2-2) then Carolina (1-3). If the chiefs aren’t over .500 then likely next team they play over .500 is the Bucs on November 16. They are really going to benefit from a fortuitous schedule this year. Tbh i wouldn’t be shocked if KC with rice and worthy get to the playoffs and do what they always do to the bills

If he had a concussion, they wouldn't be able to hide it. So either we hear some news on that soon or he didnt have one.

He never went for testing after the hit. And finished the game. Why would he get tested now?

I still don't understand the RG standing up and giving away the snap count. I can understand the argument in a very loud situation were a silent count is needed, but that stadium was not loud yesterday. Hell, it was 30% Eagles fans. All the defense has to do is watch the RG. Once he gets in his stance, pin your ears back.

Interesting point. Very interesting…

I hope you are correct. The fix was really to the defense last season. The offense really was a rushing attack and an inconsistent passing game all season. Now they have an inconsistent passing and running game.

Lol found it

So his head gets slammed to the ground and his throwing shoulder gets hit

You also have to wonder how Refs will call the rest of the game when they see something like that. Even if it's just on a subconscious level, if you see the guy not giving himself up when he easily had the chance to they might become more lenient on other hits to him later in the game.

Zach teasing a trade.

Only like Chop Robinson for Dolphins but he was a 1st rounder last year.

And Jets, Will McDonald who is under contract next year and had 10 sacks last year

It's SOP. The silent count has a beat or different beats for the snap after that takes place. But, that's the reality of playing on the road, whether or not you understand. Just about every team uses a variation of it. Watch Denver this week in Philly. They will do it too.

Latu just seems to have something about him. The blocked punt and his impact blocking on offense. I want him on the field as much as if not more than Calcaterra.

He has been a really pleasant surprise. If he can develop receiving skills and some chemistry with Hurts, will be a worthy successor as TE1.

In 2021, he broke Alabama’s single-season record for tight end touchdowns with eight.
