So is our entire OL also concussed? Just wondering when we're ever going to get a rushing game.

All this talk about Hurts and our offense has been completely one dimensional for 4 entire games

Thats like the NFL officials calling unnecessary roughness for talking.

Yeah, I know the national media is obsessed with the Jalen discourse, but going from one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL to one of the worst is the real issue. And I don't think it's going from Becton to Steen (who has played well). Mailata, Dickerson and Jurgens aren't playing well (compared to last year), and the play calling is horrible. Patullo is in love with 12 and 13 personnel, but that sucks for us since our backup TE is an awful blocker.

On the ball where it was almost picked we had a guy WIDE open. Might have taken it to the house if he breaks a tackle down field

Hurts was way off yesterday- wildly inaccurate anything past 8 yards.

Rare to see that from him - hopefully gets back in sync this week.

Yup...everyone in here is treated pretty well in the moments where criticism is warranted. It is the months and years long pushing of an agenda that qualifies the troll label. The same tired talking points over and over again based on observations that even the most casual of fans can point out...somehow the trolls feel they alone have that unique perspective...so annoying. And then on game day...actively pulling for Eagles (namely Hurts) failure so they can affirm their tired agenda. It is not normal behavior...

Nick Sirianni is On The Verge of NFL History

After Sunday’s win, Nick Sirianni is now in striking distance of the most wins an NFL coach has ever had through their first 5 seasons, including playoffs:

1. George Seifert - 68

2. Paul Brown - 64

3. Sean Mcvay - 63

….Nick Sirianni - 58 through Sunday

—————————————-

This means that if Nick Sirianni wins 6 more regular season or playoff games, he will have the second most wins by a HC in his first 5 seasons, and the most by a HC in the salary cap era.

And if somehow the Eagles manage to win 14+ regular season + playoff games (which they won 18 last year), he will tie or beat George Seifert for the most wins an NFL head coach has ever had in his first half decade in the league’s entire history.

***important factor of note:** George Seifert took over the #1 team in the league his first season: the Super Bowl champion 49ers, who were coming off 6 consecutive 10+ win seasons. Nick Sirianni took over the 4 win Philadelphia Eagles, who earned the 6th overall pick in the draft and hadn’t won 10+ games in 3 years.

Philadelphia’s Remaining Schedule:

Week 5 Sun, 10/5 vs DEN 1:00 PM CBS

Week 6 Thu, 10/9 @ NYG 8:15 PM Prime Video

Week 7 Sun, 10/19 @ MIN 1:00 PM FOX

Week 8 Sun, 10/26 vs NYG 1:00 PM FOX

Week 9 BYE WEEK

Week 10 Mon, 11/10 @ GB 8:15 PM ESPN

Week 11 Sun, 11/16 vs DET 8:20 PM NBC

Week 12 Sun, 11/23 @ DAL 4:25 PM FOX

Week 13 Fri, 11/28 vs CHI 3:00 PM Prime Video

Week 14 Mon, 12/8 @ LAC 8:15 PM

Week 15 Sun, 12/14 vs LV 1:00 PM FOX

Week 16 Sat, 12/20 @ WSH TBD FOX

Week 17 Sun, 12/28 @ BUF 4:25 PM FOX

Week 18 TBD - Flex Game vs WSH

Philadelphia is favored in all remaining games source

Asked this yesterday during the late games, if you had to pick the afc representative and the nfc representative for the Super Bowl right now you would you have?

Afc i think ultimately is going to come down to chiefs and bills. I think rice and worthy getting healthy will make the chiefs much more formidable. I’d probably take the bills at the moment but i think chiefs have a better defense and tbh I’d take Reid/Spags over the bills coaching.

Nfc i want to take the eagles cause talent wise i think they are better than the field. I would take us but i think the rams, Bucs and lions are the biggest threats to us. Imo the lions looked awful week 1 but have looked better since. Granted bears, ravens and browns are really not very good. I still think the rams are the team that poses the biggest challenge in the nfc.

I still think Eagles vs Bills SB would be a great game

Tbh if rice and worthy are healthy and Simmons continues to develop at OT, i actually think the chiefs overall may be better than their 2024 version last year. Record clearly won’t be as good but i think offense is likely better with Simmons and rice additions they didn’t have last year (rice missing most of last year)

Really hate to say it, but I think the Chiefs will be there at the end again. When they get to full strength, they’ll be hard to beat. Ravens are pretty much done and Buffalo is beatable with that defense. I would put my money on Malhomes, as he owns those teams until he sees the Birds 🦅.

NFC is more wide open. We still have a good shot, but it’s not a slam dunk. Detroit, LA, Tampa are all pretty good and we would have to be on our A game, especially on Offense, to get past them.

Also doesn’t help lane is coming in and out of games. I think jurgens had his surgery after the Super Bowl but he might not be fully back to what he had been able to do yet. Dickerson similar with his knee surgery. I’m really hoping we get to the bye 7-1 or 8-0. Then guys get healthier for the stretch run cause the two games after the bye are games we really need to win if we want the 1 seed. At packers and vs. lions. Tbh curious with that lions game cause they can put up points and their defense when healthy is solid.

I almost feel like the Bills are going to need someone else to take out the Chiefs for them to get to the Super Bowl. The mental edge KC has in the playoffs on them is really amazing.

I m in favor of sitting Landon for the next 2 weeks -- not going to IR, but put Pryor or Toth in there against Denver and NYG. I am worried that the short week going to NYG will really set him back.

Depending on teams staying healthy, but i think the path through the nfc is much more challenging than the afc. I really think it’s going to come dow to bills and chiefs in the afc. In the nfc you are likely going to face Bucs/lions/rams in the divisional round. And then in the nfc title game one of lions/rams/bucs. Heck if you don’t get the one seed still might have to face a solid GB, commanders or Seahawks (defense analytically very good and one of the better teams in terms of explosive players. Still don’t trust darnold).

He has been a really pleasant surprise. If he can develop receiving skills and some chemistry with Hurts, will be a worthy successor as TE1.

In 2021, he broke Alabama’s single-season record for tight end touchdowns with eight.

TE1 seems to be a stretch. He doesn't have a reception yet. They seem to like him as FB which is good because little chance BVS comes back ever sadly. And as FB he looks fine to the eye but it's not like our running game is working. Not his fault but can't point to success either

Totally agree. Malhomes and the Chiefs are their Kryptonite and it always seems inevitable that the Bills lose to them in the playoffs. Right now it’s hard to make out a team that could take them out. I thought the Chargers were different this year, but losing to the Giants is just a Charger thing that doesn’t instill confidence in the playoffs.

I'm kind of be with. However the giants pass rush/front four is nasty. 12 Qb hits and 2 sacks yesterday against the chargers. My concern is if Toth or Pryor could handle it even though rest of the giants stink, their pass rush and front four might be atop of the league. We probably survive it but it might be an ugly type win where giants keep it closer than we’d like due to that pass rush

Yesterday was the first time I really tried to pay attention to what Barkley was running into.

Someone who rewatches and watches all-22 should refute or verify, but I really don't think teams are selling out to stop the run against us anymore. There were multiple 3rd and longs against prevent defenses with light boxes that were stonewalling our OL and stopping Barkley at the line.

What kind of play do you call against a soft front when you have a running game that can't get yards against it and a QB that only throws into big windows when the entire second level is blanketed in tight coverage?

You are quite right, teams are not selling out to stop the run. The problem is a simple one. Mailata, Dickerson, and Lane are all hurting and playing sub-par. All three of them whiffed on run plays one time or another. Teams are not stacking the line; quite the contrary. They're playing their LBs 5-6 yards off the ball. That makes it tough for our OL on inside zone runs to reach them. I blame Fangio for that because it's what he does with Baun and Campbell. It gives them time to read the play and fill the right gap. Other teams have noticed.

That’s the way I see it as well. The NFC just has a bunch of quality teams that can easily go on a run. I mean, even the Packers are capable of catching fire and they have enough weapons to beat anyone (if Love plays well).

It’s a different story in the AFC. The Steelers are atop of their division but they don’t scare anyone. The Colts and Jags look better than expected, but they’re not keeping that up when it gets to crunch time IMO. Not much besides Buffalo and KC…

some were forced

Most were forced, the only ones not forced were the ones where he was deep and the throw was pretty much where no one could get the ball (purposely), OB. He wasn’t ”wide open” but maybe once and the throw was a bit high. He’s simply not open enough, that could easily be route related, I didn’t go back and look but it seems he runs a lot of the same routes over and over, slant (not enough), digs (too much), or 9s. That makes it much easier on the DBs to read him and not allow separation. Just an opinion.

Wilson getting hurt might be a bigger deal than some would like to admit. He was a great blocker at WR.

Looking like a Chiefs Eagles repeat this year. Calling it now before everyone joins the club! Barring major injuries of course. 2 most well rounded squads in the NFL.

I would feel for Bills fans if this happens again.

Chiefs like the Eagles will be stronger by end of year. Difference is we will have home field advantage throughout and probably an easier journey. Eagles not playing their best football, but beating very good teams. And on the road.

Have high hopes for this defense. Offense left them hanging to dry in the 2nd half. Quinyon and Coop are absolute studs. As are Baun and Campbell. Dee played great yesterday besides the 2 long plays. One which barely squeaked thru and seemed lucky. Gotta take some lumps with these young guys now and we benefit later. Bucs are a really solid offense. So gotta give them some props and they know how to play in that heat. And bad ref calls gifted Bucs on at least 2 drives.

Ringo was a mixed bag, but still an upgrade to Toast Jackson. At least was recognizable on 2 big stops. Jackson basically was a negative every time. I'll take that. Think he will clean up his techniques bit. And is coachable. Liked his energy. Didn't really see him get burned much in coverage. Like Toast J.

Getting Dickerson back close to 100% is worth resting him and grinding out a close win over the Giants imho. You'd have to feel good even without Dickerson given the level of play we would expect from the Giants O with a rookie QB and down their star WR. I'd rather be 6-2 with a fully healthy Dickerson heading into GB than be 7-1 and continue to have to deal with Dickerson being hampered.

I just can't trust Herbert in a must win game

Buying or selling?

A good point that we forget to mention. There are several factors from no Becton to Dickerson playing injured to missing Wilson that all add up. Calcaterra is a horrible blocker.
