I just did the math, and the teams that the Eagles have played (and beaten) this year are 9-2-1 against the rest of the league. Those four wins have certainly not really been impressive, but those results have come against impressive teams. By contrast, the Bills opponents have gone 1-9 against the rest of the league (2-10 once the Jets-Dolphins game finishes tonight).

I threw this in here after the late game last night:

The schedule the Eagles have played so far is 9-6-1 .593 or 9-2-1 .792 when not playing the Eagles.

The Eagles remaining schedule is 27-26-2 .509 or 27-25-2 .519 when not playing the Eagles. (add 1 win to that for Denver after tonight)

2025 wins by 3+ win teams over another 3+ win team:

Eagles 2 (Rams and Bucs)

SF 1 (Seattle)

Rams 1 (Indy)

Jax 1 (SF)

Seattle 1 (Pittsburgh)

Detroit, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Indy, Tampa, Chargers: 0

This was true last year, They changed the rule. Kickers can beat the hell out of the balls beforehand now.

I need to pay more attention in the offseason. Good to know. Thx.

I think Mike Turico and then McAfee brought it up like right before the first game so it was kind of put in there last minute.

I wish DraftKings would let me bet the over/under in penalties called

Tom Grossi does play by play of Packers, game of the week, and prime time games.

He has a flag counter and he says the refs are winning if they get more penalty calls than each team has points.

I know many of us feel the officiating in Eagles/Bucs was tilted far towards the Bucs. I think, more than anything, it was just a poorly officiated game. They missed a lot of calls that should have gone against the Bucs and calls that should have gone against the Eagles. And they threw a lot of flags that should not have been thrown...and yes, those generally went against the Eagles.

All that money on wide receivers and Bengals score 3 points. Good thing their defense is so good.

It was 95 / 5 in favor of the Bucs until the fumble. I still don't know how that was a fumble.

Some of it can be subjective but that guy trying to kill a defenseless DeVonta with no call was garbage. Its textbook for why the rule is there.

Aikman: Joe Burrow is a top 3 QB in the league

Ummm more like Joe Glass from Mike Tysons Punchout. Hes a good QB but is always hurt

Yep. He's no longer relevant. Joe Burrow, on the right team, in good health...might be the BEST qb in the league. But that's officially an alternate reality that we don't live in. No one is giving David Carr hall of fame votes simply because he maybe could have been great if his team gave him a chance.

I know these guys get paid big $, but it’s sad to see wasted potential. Saddling Joe Burrow with that loser Zac Taylor for his whole career is a disgrace. Then again, this is a Mike Brown owned team we’re talking about…

Oh I fully support prayers. Not the issue at all. Agree with your last sentence.

Not saying you or wasn't directed at you but there are some that have an issue when people post or say "thoughts and prayers"

Week 16 Jets/Saints could feature two winless teams both actively trying to lose.

Are Joe and Troy spending 5 minutes saying WE DEM BOYZ?

Dallas got a 3 point swing on an xp block and Love had a stupid turnover for a quick free 7 before the half.

Did Dak make some nice throws that were awesome tiptoe catches? sure

They are still a huge mess.

Burrow picked his team and he told his GM how to spend the cap money.

IF is meaningless for him. He made a choice.

It's Glass Joe and he is ranked #2. Dont disrespect him like that 😆

Eagles/Bills in the 2nd to last week of the season are a fascinating matchup…and not because it’s ostensibly between the 2 best teams in the NFL. It’s one of the hardest games on what we are calling a brutal schedule…late Dec in Buffalo. Maybe the hardest on the schedule.

I don’t have a lot of respect for any AFC teams besides Buffalo and KC. KC will get right for the playoffs, but they aren’t going to ring up a lot of regular season wins this year. Buffalo could be absolutely running away with the 1 seed, maybe even clinched it at that point.

I think the Lions/Packers/49ers (cupcake schedule) are more likely to be right around the Eagles record at that point than anyone in the AFC for the Bills.

This game will be hyped as a SB preview. I’m not sure either team is going to be motivated for a slugfest.

There is a good chance the roughest game on the schedule ends up a scheduled loss by the opposition.

I'd also argue that Bucs player could have really knocked out Hurts in that moment and been really dirty if he chose to. He does sort of let up a bit.

If he was letting up he never would have extended his arm to strike Hurts.

If I recall the replay correctly, the tricky thing about calling the penalty is that he missed Hurts entirely. Can they throw a flag for intent?

Running and sliding QBs are tricky. Once they give themselves up with the slide, you can’t hit them.

But if you get low to tackle with proper technique or get low to get leverage for a good hit…all of which are fine…that QB’s head is going to be precisely at your level as he’s sliding down. And any contact looks like a headshot.

I’ve been pretty gentle on Hurts so far this year…but here’s a stat I don’t like:

Every QB in the NFL who has played 4 games and most of the QBs who have played 3 have more passing yards than Jalen Hurts through 4.

Hard to read into the reaction much. Tyreek there has a crazy amount of adrenaline surging through roughly 3-5 braincells. We're lucky he wasn't speaking in tongues.
