@HazletonEagle Next week for the Eagles Thursday night game, you have your two favorite sports also playing at the same time, hockey and baseball. What ever will you do? I assume dvr the Eagles?

I was voluntold to go work at a girls soccer game. Which I would still choose over watching hockey.

What is it about WRs that makes them so unstable? You don't hear about RBs doing this crap.

Bunch of divas at WR over the years

You can tell something is off with AJ just by his body language. Not putting his hand up when Barkley or anyone is about to score, not interested in helping anyone up.

I hope he can figure it out

Yeah! Stupid WRs wanting the ball more and posting Bible verses. Why can't they be more like RBs and just assault women?!

Well, this is the quote of the year. End the competition -- nothing will top this.

Reich was named interim HC on March 31

That was a mistake then

Think it’s a couple of things. guys aren’t healthy. Can see it with Dickerson. Lane isn’t finishing games he stats. Jurgens back might be repaired but he still struggling coming back to what he was last year. Mailata also just hasn’t been as good. I’d also say i think teams had an entire offseason to prepare and showing things we may not have seen and just better prepared for what we do. Lastly passing game clunky inconsistencies is beginning to also hurt the run game. I’d add was unrealistic to expect Barkley to do what he did in 2024 in 2025.

I think Dickerson and Mailata are linked. When Dickerson is being his normal self, Mailata doesn't worry about it and trusts him to do what needs to be done and then some, right now it's leading to thinking too much and not just letting it come to him. If Dickerson plays better, I think Mailata goes back to being his better self as well.

He literally put his hands up to signal TD on the Barkley fake tush push score.

Unless I'm missing something I see Hurts and Smitty raise their arms, but not AJ

LOL -- they got Romo 2.0

I was trying to think of other guys that made sense, and it really is only Doug. Former HC with play calling experience, and connections to Philly as well. Doug is unlikely to get another HC gig at this point, so this might be a stepping stone to being an OC for him as well.

The other option would be Frank Reich but he's coaching Stanford.

Same, AJ just hits the Jamon Brown and fixes his gloves

Pretty good by Chris

I've said this before. Jerrah lucked into two franchise QBs. Romo - UDFA. Dak - 4th round.

Are they though?

Nix > McCarthy imo

At this Point i am still very skeptical on both

Enough about AJ, lets talk about something fresh and new

I do think Mailata's comment about getting out of the huddle faster is an excellent point. Last year we exceled when Jalen had time to survey and check if necessary. He is very good at adjusting pre-snap, and it has felt like they took that freedom away from him at times this year.

We're too obsessed with protecting the football, thinking we will win as long as we don't turn it over. And that has worked for now. But at some point they have to open it up.

I've found it infuriating watching the Eagles constantly battling the play clock before the ball is snapped. It feels like it's been commonplace for the clock to be at three seconds and guys are just starting to get set or to go in motion.

So I was pretty damn glad to hear Mailata make a comment about that. It sure seems like there are at least some people in the building who realize it's been an issue.

I think Nix has proven more than McCarthy. Nix just doesn't seem like a dynamic player. He reminds me of Daniel Jones. He has a sort of mid arm. It looks to me that intermediate throws take a lot of effort. They have a short passing game which plays into the Eagles strength as a defense.

OCs don't have the impact on the offense fans think they do. Not with the Eagles current setup. On other teams they might.

They throw them off by what? Almost every statistical category for the Eagles passing game is abysmal.
