Kinda confused what the point of this was. Both guys were here Wednesday so they got paid for the week. Not sure why they are back a day later instead of next week, unless they have plans to elevate them (doubtful) or they need them for some specific reason for practice today.

If they aren't activating Dean I wonder if they fill the open roster spot or just go with 52 for the weekend.

It could be a way of managing the practices. I.e. we need more cover at one position, let's rotate player X in for a day and then release them the next day. Or someone for the scout team.

The Eagles already have two rookies that made game saving INTS this year.

I think this week it’s a sophomore in Q. He’s due for a regular season pick.

That would be my best guess but it still wouldn't make much sense. There's nothing that special or unique about either guy that they would need them specifically for scout team than anyone else.

Maybe there’s an office pool inside the organization about how many transactions howie makes per week.

My only guess is his thought process was the players who were not here on Wednesday but added on Thursday get paid. When maybe they wouldn’t have unless they did it. That’s the only way it would make any sense to me.

So there’s multiple reporters saying it’s to get players another check. I think it’s more they are circumventing the rules to the practice squad to keep guys they like from joining other practice squads.

Yea, I get that part, it just seems weird to undo the Thursday move on Friday and bring back the guys that already got paid. They could have brought two different guys in and got them paid too.

I believe for the practice squad the pay is a day rate as opposed to one day qualifying for the whole week of pay, but I could be wrong on that

The practice squad is actually one below the 17 limit as well

I was gonna tweet at the eagles asking if i could be on the PS off and on for like a month.
