I understand the strategy but the one Giants strength is their D-line. You would avoid the short week and the crap turf but it would be not ideal to go against them without 2 starters.

I feel like the Eagles will hold Dean out as long as possible. The path of least resistance will be to insert him when/if there is an injury to another LB, so as not to bench/upset/release anyone.

Not to say they're hoping for an injury. But giving as long as possible for it to happen before they have to activate him and make a hard decision.

They replaced Steen with Becton, Seumalo with Wisniewski, BG with Hunt, Wentz with Hurts, and I could go on. They are loyal, but not to a fault.

They only would have two more weeks. I'd actually be pretty surprised if they brought him back next week on a short week that they aren't practicing and traveling to MetLifes field.

It seems to indicate that they don't do partial weeks but it's not definitively called out.

The base check this year is 13K for a week which seems like a good chunk. However, when you consider taxes, trainers, gym costs and nutrition expenses, it probably doesn't go far. I would assume they are rotated so they can be compensated enough to be able to stay in town in case they are needed.

I would’ve kept him on PUP longer - but he is likely chomping at the bit. If we can carry 3 DEs inactive for weeks, we likely can manage another LB.
