They are going to pay him. Basically every thing put out by Rosenthal, heyman and nightingale is they’ll match any contract.

Issue is they still need a clean up hitter behind Schwarber and Harper. They’ve needed it for a couple years now. Teams are not giving Harper and schwarber (in the playoffs) great pitches to hit cause know Bohm, realmuto, marsh and Castellanos are behind them. Also know they’ll press and chase after stuff cause of it. Bohm, Castellanos and realmuto aren’t capable of carrying the Phillies for 5 or 7 game series if forced too especially not good enough for cleanup (realmuto 4-5 years ago could).

So happy we don't have to endure watching Singleton do ish like that every week
