The offensive staff is a disaster, but I also think Sirianni is just as big a part of the problem. It's his offense.

Hurts does not do traditional schemes well, and the Sirianni tree (Reich's tree) is not exactly full of people who run non-traditional schemes. Notice how even Steichen is having Daniel Jones throw the rock down in Indy. But the thing is, Sirianni didn't choose Hurts in the first place, he was already here.

Then they better see what they have with McKee before letting him go

Not really sure a HC can do something like that without risking his job the year after winning a Super Bowl with said QB, even if I feel like this is something I'd absolutely want to do too. He'd very likely need to get GM approval.

When was the last time we didn't see the Eagles run a single tush push?

The offense with Hurts looked a lot better when Steichen was here than it has since.

Weren’t on schedule today…

Jeff Stoutland is really good at getting the best out of guys who have elite traits, but hasn't done much with making below average OL in to average or average OL in to above average OL.

I think they actually could have run it today. Barkley was averaging 6 yards on his 5 carries. And Dillon averaged 6 on his 2 carries.

Barkley had a 17 yard carry and the other 5 rushed went for 13. Dillion had 9 on one rush then 3 on the other. Shipley had 1 rush for 0. after Barkley’s 17 yard run, his next 4 runs went for 10 yards. As the game wore on and ( i still think they should’ve given him more touches than they did) the run blocking looked worse and worse.

Steichen is very likely the most talented person in the coaching tree in terms of offensive mind quality. And I think that's really the problem. The year that got Jalen his bag was 2022, and then the big brain walked out the building to Indy. Now I don't know if he has the other things that Sirianni has in terms of team management, but I don't think Sirianni, or anyone else in that tree for that matter, is as talented schematically.

I don't think that's much of a problem when you have a good scheme-player marriage, but Hurts just cannot run traditional schemes, so it's a struggle to find someone who can adjust for him.

I wish they would just put hurts in concussion protocol and see what they have with mckee...this defense and an above average performance should beat the giants

Hurts is the guy but if he gets hurt I'd be curious to see how McKee looks running the offense. Does it function better with quicker decision making and accuracy or is it all on KP?

Better than qb1 missing wide open receivers on a regular basis

That may be true. However, their running game has been absolutely brutal. I think there’s a handful of guys that can win when your running game has consistently been as poor as the eagles this year. Ask Herbert right now. Their running game has been bad as well outside of a game. Tough to consistently win when your Qb is your leading rusher and you are bottom 3rd of the league rushing

Part of the reason they lost today is because they’re up 14 points and they know they can’t run the football to put teams away with how bad the running game has been.

On top of not signing MB they did so without any depth at guard coming off LD having issues last year. Toth and Pryor don't do it for me. Pryor is serviceable but last year they had Steen. Young guy who could step in.

The draft broke how it broke and I'm glad they got who they did but Howie should have drafted one or made a trade for one....or kept MB until they had one in the pipe.

No. I'm not advocating for it now either. In the context of what he said about them knowing they can't win just depending on the run game he isn't the guy.

I didn’t even notice on the last play until now but AJ facemasked Smith it should have been a penalty

Just straight up manhandled him. 😂

The thing he would do is probably similar to Foles. Get the ball out quickly and take what they give you. Romo was saying that on the last drive before Hurts held the ball and took a sack. I don't want to pile on him this is on KP and Howie as well but he can't survey the field and make quick decisions. If he knows where he wants to go he can get it out quick but you can see him processing and debating internally if he should make a throw and by then it's too late.

Sit Dickerson on Thursday. Should be an easy win. Even with the trash at qb

I i like becton. And i think with stoutland he’s much better than what he is with the chargers. albeit he’s not played well for the chargers so he might be going through some of what are guys are going through.

Imo they really should look to draft their heir apparent to lane this draft and hope he can also play some guard. I like steen but he’s gone after next year anyway. I do think they are grooming Williams or Hinton to eventually be starters. I think Williams has a higher ceiling but it’s gonna take him possibly 2 years to get there

I like Campbell a lot. frankly i was super high on OT Simmons (went to KC). I thought if Campbell wasn’t obtainable that late in round one simmons was a great selection too and was going to be a steal for someone.

The way this defense is playing the run, Skatteboo might go for 200.

I don't expect Washington to be in the mix this year, as I declared before the season they'll finish under .500. But that was two games today that should have gone the other way. Chargers cost themselves 21 points today with bad turnovers and penalties and the Eagles blew a gimme game. Should be 5-0 in the division with the next team 2-2-1.

Impressive win by the commanders to go to chargers and come back from 10 down to beat them handily. Then again the chargers down slater and now alt with a makeshift offensive line. That tends to be an issue for most QBs

I already asked what the point of trading for Metchie and Bigsby was, but what about Xavier Gipson? Why claim him?

Did everybody watch the same game? 17-3 the whole game and people think the D had anything to do with this? Barkley 6 carries because we wanted to appease AJ and have flashy stats. That is the reason we lost. His stats still sucked.

All good points.
