The game was lost when the Eagles took the ball first down at their 44-yard line, up 17-3. You get the ball in that field position it has to be a scoring drive, FG at a minimum. That would have made it 20-3 against a listless offense, on the road, ready to pack it in and get on the plane for home. Instead the Eagles went -16 yards and punted, Denver took momentum, went down the field and scored a TD to get back in the game. Eagles went -6 yards on their next drive and punted again, and DEN drove down the field again and took the lead.

They let an inferior team stay in the game and basically shot themselves instead of even giving the Broncos a gun. Way too many penalties, way too many negative plays, bad play calls and bad execution.

Hurts needs to be a lot better, AJ Brown and Barkley need to not take dumb penalties, and why the Eagles had 31 passes and 8 runs in a game they led almost the entire way to that point, I’ll never know.

Hopefully peeing this game into the porcelain wakes them up.

Well, he said he did. And the ball still wasnt coming to him.

Oh ok, well if he said so, I'm sure that's all that will matter to the coaches in the film room.

I mean I never like to lose but its gonna happen several times a year even for good teams.

My hope is that this team has been feeling themselves. They haven't lost since last December. Maybe this will reset their focus. They havent known what its like to lose in a long time. Now they do.

I don't think the team has been feeling themselves. And I don't think they have a lack of focus. I don't think their memories are so short that they can't remember losing. They aren't children. They've lost plenty of games before and their memories are just fine in the pain that exists in that.

Not to pat myself too much i also said Josh Allen would be the best Qb in his class and that Darnold would be the next best.

I think they did get complacent

Some in here have been bringing up the problems since week 1 but it's always been "a win is a win"

And yet we were in the drivers seat until

The defense gave up 18 straight in the 4th to Bo Nix

Just so we're clear... 17 points in the NFL isn't enough to win games. Blame the defense if you want, but the offense needs to do their part. Today they didn't do enough to win. The defense didn't get the big stop like they have in recent weeks, but the biggest issues aren't on the defensive side of the ball.

I wanna believe this is a wake up call. But they’ve been playing like this for five weeks. And some of these things like dumb penalties should already be fixed and us cutting down on them. Yet week after week they commit them. It feels like they are very undisciplined

I really do think if these offensive issues continue past the bye then Lurie is going to step in and make his displeasure known. I just don’t know what change could happen. Could they make Patullo the scapegoat? I don’t think that’ll change much. But I know Lurie is not going to be happy of the offense does not start to look better than this soon.

Hurts with Judkins and that defense - yeah, that might be appealing to a team that has been a QB turnstile.

After the season they should trade Hurts to the Rams. Stafford is probably done. Hes very injured, and misses plenty of throws these days.

Fiske and Josaiah Stewart is all I need.

You know what makes this whole thing worse, I watch all these teams with inferior talent on offense and major injuries or missing 2-3 guys a week. But some of these teams manage to have it be functional and not completely inept for halves. Meanwhile, the Eagles have talent all over the field on offense and all 11 starters are out there. Yet we are out here looking like the Tennessee Titans, browns and New Orleans saints on offense. Wait the browns can at least run ball with Judkins

Ive been thinking the same thing, and its not like the birds have a bunch of new starters, they have 10 of 11 starters returning and one would think this is only the 5th game they played together.

Its just so confusing.

Patullo looks like a genius in goal to go and a moron for the rest of the field, the once dominant o line is busted up but when they give hurts a ten second pocket he cant find anyone.

Barkley is just sad to watch not because he sucks but because he gets hit in the backfield every play, jes had zero blocking.

The defense has looked really good until the 4th quarter today where they unraveled late.

They keep saying we gotta fix stuff and be better but so far its the same every week and nothing is fixed🤷‍♂️

The last 3 drives before desperation and after AJ screwed up the game.

1) 1st down - HOLDING

2) 1st down - FALSE START

3) 2nd and 1 - 5 yard penalty

2nd and 6 - Saquon for 0

3rd and 6 - Hurts to DeVonta for 2

4th and 4 - conversion called back for Steen downfield...

Gee, I wonder if penalties mess up drives or is it just a conspiracy to play Hurts when he's holding McKee back?

Offense scoring has gone down the last three weeks:

Dallas: 24 points

Chiefs: 20 points

Rams: offense scored 27 (FG block TD)

Bucs: 24 points (punt block TD)

Denver: 17

Really the difference in the previous 2 games is the defense had a turnover in opposition territory that gave us short field and TD. Today they didn’t.

Many will bury their head in the sand, but we are legitimately a handful of plays from being a 0-2 win team right now.

Lamb gets butterfingers

Kelce dropping a TD into Makuba's hands

Fluke blocked FG

Baker throwing a stupid pick

That's just off the top of my head

Is it a fluke if you did it twice?

Tbh the defense is getting gassed. Every week the offense disappears and has quick 3 and outs for an entire half. Eventually it’s going to catch up to them. Before they’ve been able to compensate and get the offense a turnover or make a big play. Not going to be able to do that every week. If the offense wasn’t completely stagnant for entire halves the defensive numbers probably look even better.

I don’t know who has played the most defensive snaps as a unit in the NFL. But I woild imagine we got to be close to the top 5 and at least top 10

First, they need to find someone who can relay the play to Hurts before 25 seconds are left on the play clock.

I don't care about styles or scheme or philosophy. This is some basic stuff.

I was gonna say, if that wasn’t a roughing the passer on the bills, but they called the penalty on Baun I was going to laugh. That was way more vicious and obvious.

I think they need to remove the QB slide. It does not fit into the game and the refs can't handle calling it like adults.

No way does that late slide by Maye deserve that call.

QBs don't use it for safety. They use it to get as many yards as possible and maybe 15 also.

Guys you know why Denver won today? We never used the tush push.

The team got complacent? In here people were complacent, yes. The team? Nah. Didn't seem that way to me.

I’ll keep screaming it from the rooftop, but Dotson needs to be more involved in this offense. Especially when the passing game goes into a rut, he’s a good, reliable safety blanket and makes plays.

Not just Dotson but Metchie as well is a good #4 option. Between AJ, DeVonta, Dotson, Metchie and Goedert somebody should always be open. Thats too many quality receiving options to be this inconsistent at passing the ball.

McKee would be so awesome behind this 2025 line.

His zero mobility would be no problem at all... unless you don't like sack fumbles.

I'm not taking a shot at Hurts. He's a SB champ. He's shown he can do it. I do think he has some limitations but he's a winner so I cant complain.

But if McKee were QB, his zero mobility might be an issue but he would most likely get the ball out quicker than Hurts does.

Yup.

New England’s Super lucky there’s 1 second left.

I'd love to know who has not been complaining that things need to be better.

O-line play has been close to a universal complaint.

I think there are like 4 out of 200+ who think Patullo just needs a hug and more time. The rest have been critical at some level.

Saquon has been a target for blitz pickups

Some combo of Siri/Patullo/Hurts have been getting it for the entire state of the offense.

Even Howie has been hearing it over Rodgers, Bekton, and the late picks used in weird or marginal trades.

Awesome Fangio has been getting it for Adoree.

Cool story about the pretend Pollyanna Philly fans though...
