Hurts should continue to audible to whatever he sees, Patullo is costing us way too much.

I don’t even know what to do about Patullo. I have no faith he gets better, Sirianni isn’t a good schemer, the QB coach would be a weird fit, Frank Reich is at Stanford.

It’s a pretty hopeless situation. Backed themselves into a corner for no reason with an offense full of Pro Bowl talent.

Carter's injury has prevented him from playing to his capable level, but every week he'll blow at least a couple plays up and as per usual get blatantly held and it not be called. As happened yesterday. Wonder what's up with the shoulder. He's dealt with this for 2 months now.

When you see the photos of the victim, Sanchez could actually get prison time assuming the photos accurately reflect what Sanchez did to him. That guy was really messed up. If Sanchez instigated it and they have evidence to back it up, he's going to be in some serious serious trouble.

I saw the hospital bed pic. Looks like Sanchez beat the crap out of him

It really shouldn't be difficult considering the weapons we have

The biggest issue is that the head coach cannot be relied on to fix the issue. That apparently this team cannot have a functioning offense unless they have a grade A level offensive coordinator who can operate at least partially autonomously from the head coach.

If the head coach was a good offensive mind and could provide good input on how to construct a functioning offense or fix issues leading to one, Patullo would be far less of an issue. Which is why I've been defending him. Not that I think he's some great coach, but putting the blame on a novice coordinator who was hand-picked by the head coach is unfair. This is Sirianni's operation, this is on him. And aside from that, all the stuff with players not running out routes and stuff. What happened to "Tough, together, attention to detail"? Because they don't seem to be doing any of that this season on offense.

Sirianni has been a very good CEO head coach, but I think he's a dreadful offensive coach, and if they don't get the perfect mix around him, it's going to be a problem. It just turns out Patullo wasn't that perfect mix, and that's not necessarily his fault.

I don't know what they can do either, they hired no experienced staffers as fall back options if things get dire.

Hey, can we take the DeVonta Smith screen out of the playbook?

Kind of hope we go in a different direction, like maybe a Mike McDaniel reclamation as that scheme seems to have the ability to make chicken salad. Not sure, if Jalen is a good fit as the QB isn't really required to run but needs to get the ball out quick and accurately, use play action, etc.

Not just beat up, sliced up. It looked like he got sliced and diced with a knife. That's not good. Felony battery with serious bodily injury is 1-6 years in prison in Indiana. Plus the other charges.

I wouldn't put Kellen Moore in that category. More like B or B-, but Patullo is a D+ at best and slowly trending towards F territory.

Here are two trades that won't happen but should IMO

Howie trades Steen and possibly a late pick to the Chargers for MB. He's playing fine, but the run game is suffering and he's not a guy you resign. Maybe he fits better in LA. Get MB back and give them every opportunity possible with the team they have to win another.

Make a trade for a backup guard better than Toth. Shouldn't be hard to find and get Dickerson on the bench for a month or so to heal up and be ready for the late push.

Let Hurts call the plays the rest of the way out or at least the 2nd half.

Fyp lol

I said that yesterday. If the guy is fighting for yards he's fair game.

I’m talking about what to do this year. If McDaniel gets fired, he’s isn’t taking over this offense midseason.

We have no options. The out of left field options (Ken Whisenhunt, Todd Haley) might even be less inspiring.

We're stuck with Patullo/Sirianni. I expect Patullo will move to the booth come the Vikings game to show they’re actually trying something.

I was more aggravated by this play than the grounding reversal. If you want to fine Baun $5K, okay, but the game should be decided by the players.

Why spend the capital on one with the OL that bad? He'd be worn out by the end of the game anyway. You are spot on about processing the field.

What is the goal this season? The Oline can be repaired quicker than the lack of pass rush, unless a trade is made.

Yeah, you're not doing anything in season... we already saw that movie.

How a successful run game from last season turns into an after-thought option? The RB and OL are largely intact. Why not use it more? Even if the defense has geared up to stop it.

Talked about moving on and NOT being a defending champ. The SB hangover is real and hurting the team.

He was down by contact before Baun hit him. If Baun simply pushed him down then I doubt they flag it

They need one for sure I won't argue. But I'm not sure the OL can be repaired without a trade. Toth can't cut it and Dickerson needs time on IR.

Can we take every backward screen out too? Stupidest play by far.

This is why I try to stay even keel after 1 loss. Because I know not being able to pay everyone after the SB, would mean longer term struggles.

I trust this guy more than PFF.

Also, logically, can we stop pretending that 11 guys all got worse at the exact same time, and maybe - just maybe - put the totally unqualified OC (and his best buddy) at fault?

Yeah, but take a look at 3 seconds in that video Baun has lowered his shoulder and is dropping down while the guy is just finishing fighting forward. I'm not sure how you stop your momentum at that point. He had maybe a fraction of a second to peel off. You are right but at the same time it's pretty close to "bang bang".

Gotta blame Howie/Lurie too for the Patullo BS. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me every Fing time we go to the Super Bowl, shame on me.
