Offense: as the offense is so predictable as we all have been saying and observing with empirical data to back it up, could this be the foundation of the internal rifts? We are easy to defend, rarely make defenses think, question, or wonder what the play will be. They know the play coming as well as our offense. How does a head coach tolerate this game after game?

Not sure who set up the pow-wow between Hurts, AJ, and Saquon but I’m assuming it was Barkley and it’s one of the reasons why he’ll go down as the best FA signing this team has ever had. Someone needs to be the adult in the room here.

Serious question, has NFL officiating ever been worse. That missed PI on KC that basically gave the Chiefs a 4th quarter TD in a close game was one of the most blatant missed calls I have ever seen. Kind of reminded me of Goedert getting tackled at the 3 yard line yesterday. These clowns literally just decide if they want to throw flags or not at this point.

I don’t get too much into conspiracy theories, but it might not be a coincidence that this has been happening a lot since the NFL partnered up with the gambling outlets like Draft Kings, Fan Duel, etc.

Is there an NFL team with a better resume than the Eagles' right now?

Crazy how we're so wrapped up in the struggles of the team yet no other team is really all that impressive

The NFL is worth almost $230B, Fan Duel has a market cap of $17B. The league won't risk the cash cow that is professional football for whatever it is you think might be happening with these alleged back room deals for small potatoes like fan duel.

John McMullen said Hurts comes across as aloof, said it's like Carson Wentz again but without the religion. He used to text the 53rd guy on the team, not anymore. That doesn't sound good.

While catching up, that's the vibe I got. Carson went through a phase of taking the play call and changing it at the LOS, and at times, it didn't work. The coaches copped the flack, but it was clear Carson thought himself to be OC.

Part of the reasons he ultimately got traded; ego.

The Chris Jones resting sour face tour rolls on.

The clip out there is even worse. He just stood still, probably thinking about Amazon Prime Day, like that idiot OG that played in Doug's last season.

Nope, and it's getting worse by the week. Just look at the roughing the passer calls yesterday.

WTF.....WTAF

Its a great example, that across some sports, the standard of officiating in the past 10 years has decreased significantly, while also observing such stark variances in what is called game by game. No one knows what roughing is, no one knows what intentional grounding is, etc

Credit where credit is due. I think ESP nailed it with is thoughts on the missed AJ bomb.

Nice of ESP to confirm what I said about it live during the game.

Grant Calcaterra and his piss poor blocking has 4 catches for 40 yards on the year.

Albert O was called up from the Raiders PS yesterday and went 5 for 36.

Call me crazy, I'd poach him from the Raiders PS and put Calcaterra on IR with a hernia. At least Albert O would bring some size to TE2.

You want to waste a roster spot on Albert O for another season? Why?

BTW, I know what he did in LV. BUT, that's irrelevant to here. He was here, for two years, with this coaching staff, and never sniffed the field. Why bring him back where you are forced to keep him on the roster for a set number of weeks?

Off-topic complaint. The CBS scorebug for no reason has yellow as it's transition color when the down and distance changes. It makes it appear as if there's a flag on every play. The Broncos are orange and the Eagles are green. There's absolutely no reason to use yellow when changing down and distance.

Noticed that during the game. Hate it. Makes me want to never watch games on CBS.

Hey Rex... do your research, its your JOB. He has never called plays before and it was reported ad nauseam leading up to the start of the season.

And once Rex throws that out proving he didn't do his research on Patullo's coaching resume, he calls into question everything that he just said as a kid who didn't do his homework and is just BSing his oral report in front of the class hoping no one notices. He might be right, but its based on pure conjecture on his part. Sorry Rex, your dad would be ashamed of this effort.

There's a reason mass gambling was illegal for so long. You open the door and look what it's done to society and sports. You can't escape it. Ads, sponsorships, apps, channels dedicated to it across all media sources.

I was being silly, but we all know there's a serious need at TE, not only to replace Goedert but Calcaterra is getting destroyed on every single running play. He brings nothing to this team. Point was, Albert O in one game as a PS call up, matched Calcaterra's season output and is a better blocker.

I still can't believe Topper decided to kill all of the momentum by bunting Stott. Unbelievable.

If the ball hits the ground when Lawrence falls isn't the play dead?

This is one of those plays where the NFL rules don't make sense.

Remember back to 2017... Carson Wentz dives forward for a TD... goes into the end zone untouched on the dive, but his knee hits the ground as he dove before the ball crosses the goal line. The NFL rule was that the QB going head first or feet first to the ground is down, without being touched. So, the head first dive forward didn't allow him to keep going like it would any other position player. But on this play, Lawrence's knee hits the ground TWICE... and the play wasn't whistled down. Now, here's the rub... I agree with the Lawrence one not being down. The issue is the rule for QBs diving. Personally, I think they should get rid of the QB rules entirely and if ALL the times a QB runs he's fair game until he's officially down, there would likely be fewer hits to this helmet from defenders helmets. The QBs would be protecting themselves when impact comes and they wouldn't be relying on the rules and the defenders' willingness to play by those rules and not take the free shot. There would likely be fewer concussions, believe it or not.

I haven't slept because of it. Dumbest freaking thing. Pulled you in then crushed you as fans. He needs to go.

You almost have to wonder how much expansion might have impacted this... especially without having full time referees who actually study film during the week leading up to games so that they can become more consistent.

Are there 16 referees who can consistently call roughing the quarterback across the weeks of the NFL season?

I think he will be gone if we lose this series.

Calcaterra is a glorified Hback, big slot WR. He can't really block, especially in-line. He's better as a move blocker.

We weren't as predictable in both of the recent SB seasons. This season, so far, is ridiculous.

True, but when you're 4-0 coming off the Super Bowl season it's logical to take the tact that you don't tinker with what's working. The change in offensive coordinators was never going to be seamless, no matter who was brought in. They've gone from Steichen to Johnson to Moore to Patullo in 4 consecutive seasons. Even for professionals there is a learning curve.

They may want to study how the Lions have been more prolific after Ben Johnson walked out of the building; so far, their transition to a new playcaller has been executed very well.
