If we were 4-5 the season wouldn’t be over, people need to chill we were missing 3 KEY probowlers and were on the road vs a Div opponent. It can happen. Have to get Carter Q and Dickerson back on the field. Ringo sucks Toth fing sucks and no pass rush

I really think everyone is underselling the collapse of the running game. With a historically dominant running game and a qb that can run, it’s so easy to have everything fall into place from there. When the running game falls off a cliff, there are no answers.

Yup even in 2023 the team could run the ball, the total elimination of designed qb runs has been alarming, the drop off in blocking has been alarming.

Mailata has been bad, jurgens has been awful, if hes hurt sit him down and let him heal up, last I checked backs dont get better from running into fat guys. Dickerson was awful before gling down, I mean these guys are making top money and theyre playing like scrubs, this teams identity and success rides on their lines and their OL and DL has been awful.

You can have pro bowlers at all the skill positions but if you cant block and cant tackle youre cooked

The O side of the ball has zero passion at times. They epitomise going through the motions or are just so arrogant, they are not prepared to do the added bits.

It makes me think of this Roy Keane rant, esp from 35 seconds in about a pasionless Man U derby performance

"Come on, we need more"

It’s spreading to the defense too. They all looked pretty passionless last night. There is something very off with this team. It’s certainly not lack of talent.

Hurts had 2 bad plays, the miss on Smitty and the INT. Aside from that he had a good game imo, 24/33 283 yds with 1 rush/pass TD each. AJ got his passes and yards, and Goedert was killing the Giants all game. The problem last night was the Eagles defense, and the run game was again pretty ineffective/nonexistent. Barkley is still getting contact behind the los too often, aside from that he ran pretty OK, but he only had 12 carries. We were only down 10 with a whole quarter left, and Patullo simply abandoned the run game. The biggest issue was the Eagles d allowing the worst redzone offense in the league to score TD's on every single redzone opportunity.

Bunch of us were saying this but the response was a win is a win and who cares how they got it

Now that we're losing it's omg we really do have problems rolleyes

I wasn’t particularly concerned early in the year because the first month of the season you’re feeling things out and trying to find yourself a bit as a team and staff. It’s week 6. We shouldn’t be having these problems. We have no identity on offense, which I blame on the coaching staff and the struggling interior OL.

Defense is easy to peg as well. CB2 stinks and the front 4/5 can’t rush the passer well enough. Bad combo.

Howie really needs to see if he can trade for a competent DB opposite of Mitchell, because Ringo and Adoree are not it.

We were playing a rookie QB with practice squad level WRs and got manhandled.

Missing 3 players is such a poor excuse

Turns out Davis isn't the guy too. He had a short burst where he looked great in the beginning of the season but not looking like he is conditioned for a full season

Oline is the root of a lot of problems but they did create some holes and protected Hurts in parts of the game last night. Everyone is saying the offense is predictable but then Nick comes out and says it's not lol

Jackson and Ringo are not it

Hopefully Mitchell isn't gone for long lol

It’s a lot of things. Health, (and possibly Father Time) on the O-line, inexperienced OC, players stepping into roles that aren’t as good as the ones they replaced, depth is not as good. Siri seems like a decent CEO coach when Howie gives him a boat load of talent, but once weak spots on the team start to show, he’s not good enough to compensate for it.

Execution........missing that deep shot to a wide open Devonta would have changed the complexion of the game. Then you're moving the ball pretty well and throw a dumb interception in the redzone that gets returned almost for a score. Those 2 plays were maybe the biggest misses at least on the offense. Defense just failed to stop Dart from making plays with his legs. Thats really what killed them. Obviously missing Jalen Carter and Q doesn't help either.

I think he's getting better. Barkley has room to run early yesterday. Was averaging about 5 yards per carry. And WRs were wide open all night.

And then Barkley got 4 carries in the second half. Forgotten about again.

It's strange because that rookie QB with practice squad level WRs beat the Eagles and Chargers, both teams expected to compete for a SB. Meanwhile Dart loses to New Orleans, one of the worst teams.

I dont think davis problem is he isnt conditioned I think him losing all that weight has hurt his ability to be really good at the one thing he was really good at, eating doubles in the run game and shutting down run lanes, and its not like his ability to rush the passer has made up for that he still isnt much of a pass rusher either.

Davis isnt bad hes just isnt a top 15 pick talent.

If he wanted to come back on a reasonable contract thatd be fine but some team will overpay and howie rightly so wont and shouldnt match

Disappointing but oh well ☹️

100%, this game was on the D

Thought the O-line played good. Not perfect or dominant by any means but Hurts had time to throw mostly.

Of course Dickerson being out hurt them. We know Jurgens and Mailata are dealing with some kind of injuries still.

Barkley - Skatteboo

AJ Brown - Wandale Robinson

Devonta Smith - Lil Jordan Humphrey

Jahan Dotson - Jalin Hyatt

Dallas Goedert - Theo Johnson

Jordan Mailata - Andrew Thomas

Brett Toth - Jon Runyan Jr

Cam Jurgens - John Michael Schmitz / Austin Schlottmann

Tyler Steen - Greg Van Roten

Lane Johnson - Jermaine Eluemunor

The guy making 250 million played with the players on the left, the rookie QB making his 3rd career start played with the players on the right.

Please tell me which Eagles player you would replace with the corresponding Giants player?

Please tell me which Giants players made it so easy for the Giants to convert 11 of 16 3rd downs, while the Eagles converted 1 of 9.

Maybe switching Kafka and Patullo is the answer? If none of these is the answer, the only thing left is switching Dart and Hurts.

Imho there is plenty of blame to go around regarding the O. First and foremost the health of the OL is the main issue. Beyond that both Patullo, Sirianni, and Hurts have been lacking and all deserve to be given criticism. One thing that really needs to happen is for the OL to get healthy. Dickerson needs to remain out until at least the next Giants game. From there, it does feel like another shoe has to drop. Several options of course but the easiest and least dramatic would seem to be replacing Patullo. If that doesn't help then of course you could look to break up Hurts/Brown but that can't be the first option.

Tannenbaum had an interesting trade idea on Get UP this morning. He had us trading for Njoku by giving up a 4th rounder. He also had a trade sending Maxx Crosby to, not remembering the team, maybe TB for a 2 and a 4th rounder. If those were even possible, I would do everything to get Crosby instead of going Nkoku. We need someone on that D-line who is capable of getting pressure and actually finishing the job. That would take a lot of pressure off the secondary, mainly CB 2.

Agree, except for number 7… they are great at the most exciting, most exotic and best play design ever drawn up… the Philly Tush Push💪🏻☝🏻

What happens next year when they do finally ban the play?

After sleeping on it Sirianni has been here 5 years and 4 out of 5 years the offense has not been great. The exception being 2022. Even last season it wasn’t a great offense, it was a great running game, there’s a difference. In 3 of those 4 meh years on offense, they underachieved in terms of talent. The two constants are Jalen Hurts and Sirianni.

So either Sirianni is one of the worst offensive coaches in the NFL and doesn’t know basic ways to scheme guys open or the QB is not capable of producing an elite NFL offense and 2022 was just an outlier.

All of that’s true. But what I was referring to is there’s something wrong with the psyche/attitude/vibe in the locker room. All the beats said even at 4-0 the post game locker room has always had this dark cloud of energy this year. I don’t know if it’s a SB hangover or they just have no confidence in coaching or this team. On the field, no one looks like they are having a good time and it’s starting to look like they are just going through the motions.

Correct. They were talking about this on PFT this morning, and pretty much said the Eagles have always had a basic offense with Hurts, and when everyone is healthy, they are just better than the man across from them at all positions except QB, so talent wins out even in a basic scheme.
