Monday at 03:43 PM2 days Za'Darius Smith has announced on Instagram he's retiring. Unless his account was hacked.Wonder if word is going around the NC Howie is trading for an Edge. Otherwise, this comes out of nowhere and hurts the Eagles depth. Things don't feel great right now with this team. Discontent, players bailing.

Siri or Patullo, that was pretty pedestrian. And yea it may be a FU to the league but come on that's all you got designed on that play sheet when you get inside the 5 yard line?

The team is trying to score TDs and win games, not keep the tush push alive in 2026.

Shows how ignorant you have to purposely be to support this QB.He said it when the offense was sucking last year in the first 4 weeks of the year and all of you Hurts guys wanted to say Moore was a terrible OC.It was THIS year he was asked if he would open it up more given the success in the super bowl. And he said no he would not because when he did that in the past, it didnt get him the win.So, now we are stuck with the 3 yard passes constantly. As he said he would. And youll all blame the OC, again. And continue being wrong.Because Hurts is afraid to throw the ball. Because he knows when he does, it results in turnovers. And that is why every year with a new OC, the offense looks just as bland.

Thats your argument? No I won't argue our RZ efficiency, I am arguing that our play caller seems to lack design or feel for calling another play based on having a very talented team that is capable of doing more than the tush push. If you have to rely on the push 4 straight times then I question your creativity to find other ways to put 7 on the board inside the 5 yard line. Again I like the under hand toss to Goedert playing against the Buc's......good play out of nowhere, but to come back to it again a week later in the same formation and goal line stand? Be more creative and use the flow of the game to call that play, it doesn't need to be strictly a goal line play.We are predictable and you cannot argue that - Hurts has blame, horrible deep balls this year......but we cannot be predictable, even Lane Johnson called it out.

They did not have to rely on the tush push 4 times. They chose to do it, and I loved it.

Monday at 04:04 PM2 days I didnt get the impression that Smith wanted to retire after this year. I feel like he implied he was still interested in playing.Id assume its due to an injury. The other theory will be that things are ugly behind the scenes and he just doesnt want to deal with it.

Maybe it is, who knows. It could just be he signed thinking he still wants to play and then realizes his heart and mind just aren't in it and wants to retire. Like I said, it happens all the time.

Discontent, players bailing. The NFL just announced it on their official X account.Makes me wonder if things aren’t all that"honky dory” on the defense.Vic Fangio has become nearly an "untouchable god” so to speak among Eagles fans and Philly sports media. That said, it’s apparent this season that he has his faults as well - bias towards playing certain players vs others (that could play better and are more deserving) comes to mind.It also makes me wonder if not resigning Rodgers was his decision more so than Howie’s. Because let’s face it, a potential starting CB 2 at 5 mil per year is a dream for a GM.
