Monday at 04:18 PM2 days Thank god we got that SB last season eh. You get the feeling that this one is not going to end well for the birds

That said, it’s apparent this season that he has his faults as well - bias towards playing certain players vs others (that could play better and are more deserving) comes to mind.It also makes me wonder if not resigning Rodgers was his decision more so than Howie’s. Because let’s face it, a potential starting CB 2 at 5 mil per year is a dream for a GM.I said that same thing about Vic/Rodgers/Howie the other day. Also, Ojulari is pretty good and he hasnt even been activated until it was absolutely necessary.Odd stuff sometimes.

If you have to rely on the push 4 straight times then I question your creativity to find other ways to put 7 on the board inside the 5 yard line.Again I like the under hand toss to Goedert playing against the Buc's......good play out of nowhere, but to come back to it again a week later in the same formation and goal line stand? Be more creative and use the flow of the game to call that play, it doesn't need to be strictly a goal line play.We are predictable and you cannot argue that - Hurts has blame, horrible deep balls this year......but we cannot be predictable, even Lane Johnson called it out.I don't think they did the push 4 straight times because they have to rely on it. It's pretty obvious they did it as a "F you" to the NFL on a primetime televised game. They can run it with Barkley and get close to the end zone. They can do a designed Hurts run. They've done quick outs towards the pile on when down close. They have plays in the redzone and close to the goal line. The 4 straight pushes were clearly a statement, not because they have to rely on it as an only means to score.Id be interested to know who's call it was to do the 4 straight pushes. My guess is Nick but Hurts has said he's called the play on his own at times. I doubt Patullo would make this call.

Can they get fresh enough with this mini-bye, and then their actual bye coming up soon? Can they figure out the right mix of Patullo offense with stuff Hurts is comfortable with?

They've experienced it on the field and are plenty vocal about what they need to do and whats going wrong. They need to batter down KPs door and tell him how they think things should be going.

Theyre going to need to find the right balance for Hurts, to be successful in the passing game. It cant be the way Hurts wants it with nothing but short passes. And it cant be the way OCs want it with real NFL passing concepts. They need to find a workable middle ground.
Monday at 04:35 PM2 days Smith was playing well and seemed like a great personality to have in the locker room. This will be a hit, we needed another higher end DE along with him being here. If he is retiring we are just Fed. Even if we do trade for someone, these other guys are all basically back end rotation players. Z. Smith could've been perfect as a #3 once N. Smith came back.

Monday at 04:38 PM2 days Howie doesn't have to do something. I think he will, but I'd wait the next two weeks first. If the Eagles embarrass themselves the next two games then I think it's time to pull the plug on this season and gear up for 2026. You don't want to be trading away what could be top picks. If the Eagles get back on track and win the next two, sure, go for it. I'd stay away from Miami's Edge guys though. Much more interested in Hendrickson and Jermaine Johnson. I've been calling for Jermaine Johnson since 2024. Liked him in the draft a few years ago.

These guys have made enough money, that if the ring chase looks like a longshot or the body isn’t cooperating - it’s not exactly a kitchen table issue to quit.

We were already bad at depth, now it's at a critical point of having just Uche, Hunt and Ojulari all playing significant snaps. He was wishy washy all off season about signing with a team. He probably just realizes his heart isn't in it anymore and doesn't want to go through the grind. It's very odd timing though and really screws the Eagles over.
