Joe Biden, though greatly diminished by the end of his term had an economic policy predicated on providing relief on growing inflation and the stress it puts on working families. He worked with congress to pass an increased child tax credit which provided relief for working families. This tax policy provided $2,000 dollars of tax relief and helped off set Trump's tax hike on the middle class during his first term. It also cut the child poverty rate in half. He also signed into law the the inflation reduction act which helped bring cost of life saving prescription drug costs down. He also worked with congress to sign into law the CHIPS act which will increase the manufacturing of vital chips which will hopefully lessen the impact of Chinese aggression towards Taiwan.

The stock market was doing great under Obama and Biden as well.

Biden's foreign policy was predicated on strengthening NATO and containing Russian aggression in Europe. Not a single American troop was lost in the war in Ukraine and the Russians have suffered over a quarter million troop losses and nearly a million wounded without us needing to fire a shot. Thanks to President Biden the greatest threat to our country has been greatly depleted.

In short, Democrats have stood for tax relief for the working class, and a strong foreign policy to contain Soviet aggression.

CNN has an excerpt from an interview they did with Kirk during his recent Japan trip. He said "even my harshest critic would agree if you put 30M Pakistanis in Japan it wouldn't be Japan anymore .... that's just common sense."

A few problems:

-- Japan's population is 123M people; 30M would be a 24.4% influx of that. The current US immigrant population is 14.3%

-- 2023 US Immigration figures show 180,530 from Mexico, 81,600 from Cuba, 78,070 from India, 68,870 from the Dominican, and 59,260 from China.

-- Assuming Kirk is alluding to the immigrants from India are Pakistani -- is that more boob or ignorant?

I don't agree spreading misinformation/disinformation with a big microphone is simply "having a different viewpoint". I think it's likely the assassin will be captured in the next couple of days; we'll have to see what the motive turns out to be if he's captured alive.

I will also add that Trump isn't sending the military into cities because he wants to cut crime. There are higher crime rates in places like Little Rock and Baton Rouge. This is about occupying territory held by his political enemies, and trying to use the military as a tool of intimidation and a pretext for martial law, which opens the possibility of staying in power after his term expires which he attempted to do the last time he was in office. You guys love to say Tump is playing chess. This is one of the few times you are right.
