Amazing how badly you all need to justify this targeted, political assassination with nonsense whataboutisms like this.

What about the fact that the fbi says he walked to the campus, stashed the gun, went home and changed, came back and went to the roof, shot him, disassembled the gun, climbed down, reassembled the gun and stashed it again, and then changed clothes again. The gun btw was supposedly a rifle, one that cannot be taken apart.

They think we’re stupid. They were better than Butler but not quite there yet.

The text exchange doesn't line up with the video evidence of Robinson leaving the scene, at least to me.

-- In the text exchange he's preoccupied with recovering the weapon he's stashed; yet he chooses that moment in time to text the roommate, confess to the crime and say he's just hanging out waiting for a squad car to leave the area where he's stashed the weapon? That conversation could be had at any point afterward once he's escaped the crime scene; why would he text the roommate at that crucial interval?

-- He says once he recovers the weapon there is no evidence to link him to the crime -- so, why did he stash it?

-- In the video where he is climbing down from the roof he either a) does not have the rifle, or b) has disassembled and concealed the rifle in his backpack. I would want a timestamp of the footage where he's running on the roof and when he's climbing down. We can see from the video he walks adjacent to the parking lot, gets to the sidewalk, and waits for oncoming traffic to clear before he can cross the street. There are other pedestrians as well as drivers there, none of whom appear to notice a weapon. Again -- what was the need to wrap the weapon and hide it in the woods, only to be in dire need of recovering the weapon because his dad would be mad he took grandpa's rifle? Why didn't he just go directly to his vehicle?

I don't have doubts as to his guilt, but there are questions that the media is not asking. The release of the text exchange seems to be for the purpose of demonstrating a romantic relationship with the roommate, quite possible for political reasons -- remember, the FBI Director is a Trump appointee. If I was the public defender I would cast doubt on the veracity of this evidence and certainly seek to exclude all evidence the government is releasing to the public before trial. If they can argue the text exchange or other evidence is fabricated they can seek a mistrial (doubtful) or get him spared from a death sentence (more likely).

Democrats need a Candidate to talk about Republicans in the same exact way.

They don't need one. The entire party has been calling conservatives racists and referring to Republican presidents as Hitler for the last 30 years.

It's already endemic.

so now there's no difference in joe public and the actual potus.

got it.

This was ^@#$ terrorism. There was never much doubt. Now there is none at all. All blah blah blah terror networks must be crushed. All of the terrorists and their helpers and funders must be arrested, prosecuted, and put to death.

who said this ?

b. america loving maga

Shocking that the Liberaltarians like yourself are ardently defending the leftist propaganda around this assassination. Remind me again how are aren't just a Democrat?

You sure it wasn't the guy who said that Republicans were "extremists, who threatened the very foundation of our Republic" and were " the gravest threat to our Democracy"?

I melted down my tinfoil hat and sold the metal to a scrap yard after my foray into conspiracyland earlier in the thread, but I will say that I am sympathetic to the idea that those text messages are......strange. I've seen it suggested they were forged, and I've seen it suggested that they were sent as cover for the roommate. Those are both crazy, but still......

Yep and as a poster above said, the timeline doesn’t even make sense. Why text your alleged trans boyfriend moments after killing someone and claiming to find the stashed gun that you allegedly hid in a bush after cloning off the roof without it. I’m not a detective but none of that adds up. And couple that with the line of sight from the roof and where the bullet actually entered from and it’s not hard to see that he wasn’t the shooter. Maybe the fall guy but definitely not the shooter.

Can you elaborate on this? You don't think he was the shooter?
