This is dumb. Charlie Kirk was awful and not a good person. I have a very radical view on this but I've thought about it and I can defend it. We made a huge mistake when we declared Oct 14 a national day of remembrance for Charlie Kirk.

Let’s just make it a federal holiday. That way everyone can take a day off and remember Charlie in a good light. Since Trump thinks the US workers have too many holidays and need to work more, they could cancel Thanksgiving. Why should we celebrate the Pilgrims sharing meals with Native Americans. That’s a concept way too connecting in a time of extreme division.
