EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

Having to endure Tony Romo's thanksgiving day circle jerk about how amazing Dallas is and slobbering over every player on the team all game and going on and on about how they're gonna win out makes this so satisfying.

Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Also don't have to hear about the NFCE repeat winner BS anymore.

Fitting that we are the ones that ended it.

It’s just a crazy stat, no other division has even been close to 20+ years without a repeat champion

This just in... Dallas still sucks.

How's that the Cowboys might win out idea from a couple weeks ago going? It was FAKE NEWS. They may lose out. Will see. Looking for that last game vs. Commanders to be a BYE week for our key starters, so we can see that Hall of Fame QB Tanner McKee. I'd even rest many of those guys for the Bills game if clinching VS Commanders on Saturday. Things are shaping up nicely.

So many Eagles fans hate and underrate their own team and QB.

They love them some Cowboys and Dak though.

They are always so scared.

All that Hurts bashing and Cowboys slobbering. Vanished. Just like that. And all the injuries today. And here we are ...your World Champion Philadelphia Eagles in the hunt for their 2nd straight Superbowl. How things change quick in the NFL. There's no writing off this season and talking about next year and blah blah blah. It was always DUMB!

It has been a strange year, I still stand firm in my pre-season prediction of PHI being in the NFCCG at a minimum.

Tom Brady to mahomes: copy it but make it look a little different

Fake Eagles fans watching their hero Joe Burrow throw a Kevin Kolb style pick 6 and score no points today to end the Bengals season.

Do they stop the Burrow worship?

You and I seemed to be the only here that knew that Dallas was going to lose games. So many said they would win out at different points. That’s not to say the Eagles don’t have issues but it’s always been clear to me the Cowboys aren’t very good.

I have been super critical of this team, but still came to my senses that although this year's team is not the dominant team of last year, it is still a team that could put it altogether for a few games and get on a roll and get to the Big Dance. Just needed to stay healthy and keep playing and be improved by playoff time. Lane Johnson and Jalen Carter coming back makes this a pretty good team. And if Devante Adams is hurt, all of the sudden there's a viable path to the Superbowl. I personally would rest up a bunch of guys starting with the Bills game for fear of risk of injury and overworking certain guys in a long season. Beat the Commanders and this is all set up for playoff success. This stuff that's been going on this season, I see as a dress rehearsal for the playoffs and just an evolution for this year's roster as it had over 20 new players and its not all going to click super fast. Never lost sight of that. Eagles have looked almost disinterested at times and that can happen when winning a Superbowl. Who knows! But a true champion is ready when the bell rings. And I think they've got that competitive fire and championship credibility that people may he dismissing. It's a long year and you just gotta keep yourself upright till playoff time. And so far so good.

DAL was never going to overcome the defensive issues, I will never talk up a team just because I’m a fan of that team. They are what they are, not good. They did make some moves this year that should shorten the rebuild timeframe that is desperately needed.

I think the Schotty hire was a good one, is it good enough? Time will tell. They have several decisions on players that will determine how the next two or three years go.

I’ve seen this DAL movie too many times to get sucked in. I’ve said it before, you guys need to just enjoy the ride, you have a good team and great FO. I honestly hate to see y’all argue with each other, but at the same time I get it, I would be just as frustrated at times. Expect great things, you guys are really in the drivers seat, great defense and the offense will find its stride the rest of the way and make a great run.

They are gonna run the table here....and lose all of them.

So if the Eagles win next week, I’m all for resting anyone even remotely hurt for the final two weeks.

Actually, just play the backups both weeks. No sense in getting in a street fight with the Bills who are playing for the division. And having the 2 seed compared to the 3 seed means almost nothing

Having the 2 seed means you have 2 home games in the playoffs (if you win) and could play the NFCCG in Philly if the 1 seed gets knocked off. Literally what happened last year

Offensive continuity needs to be a focus between now and the playoffs. If they are truly injured, yes sit them, but there are a lot of players that are hurt at this time of the season. Be smart about it but get the team on a roll before playoffs start, confidence goes a long way in the postseason.

He looks like he's meeting Trinity to blow up Mr. Smith.

This is a weak playoff field. Our defense is top 5. Can we get to an average offense? If so, we have a shot

Beat Washington. Get healthy. Hope for some more magic.
