Been here before, unfortunately it’s up to coaches to adjust for deficiencies with the line they got. TEs, extra lineman. Not just for run plays, but getting ball out quickly on short passing routes too.

So we only have 7 healthy lineman going into this game on the 53: Mailata, Toth, Jurgens, Steen, Big Fred, Kendall and Pryor. The only guys on the PS are Hollin Pierce and Jake Majors, neither of whom I know a thing about. We likely want to dress 8, so gotta think one of them will be elevated.

Man we gotta hope no one else gets hurt.

EDIT: Just saw the above on Williams, so maybe he's the 8th. Odd to open a practice window on a Thursday. Guessing Dickerson had a setback they didn't anticipate.

I'm pretty sure the Raiders will be under 20; not sure at all if the Eagles will get over 20. The Raiders have a very real chance at the #1 overall pick; if the Eagles don't keep them in the game into the 3rd quarter, they'll be on the plane home in spirit.

Looking at this defense moving forward, here's how I think they should be prioritized:

Absolute must retain for long term: Jalen Carter, Q, Coop and Jordan Davis (yes, Jordan Davis)

Would be nice to keep: Smith, Phillips, Hunt (likely one is a must)

Wish we could, but won't be able to afford everyone: Ojomo, Dean

Not getting another contract given age: Baun

TBD: Campbell, Mukuba

If cheap enough: Reed

Latu impresses every time he's on the field, whether it's on special teams or offense as a blocker. Not sure why they don't use him more.

I wouldn't read too much Into Dickerson. It's probably just rest. They did the same thing last week where he did the first practice, sat out the second for rest, and then practiced the next day.
