What happens if Kenny does the fake slide on Epps and runs right past him?

I was thinking that Kenny would out rush Jalen in this upcoming game. It was a bit surprising last week that Herbert was willing to take his chances with a broken hand while Hurts kind of laid back.

I’ll allow Sydney Brown coming from the sidelines to murder him

Inspiring performance from Herbert. Hurts’ performance? Less than inspiring

Herbert took what they gave him

A guy who will do anything to win, and a guy who will do what he wants to win

Counterpoint, these are the plays haters say is the only thing he can do. 90% of these are to guys who are wide open. He had one great throw to AJ that was in between 2 defenders

He's made better throws. That video actually sucks at trying to prove the point because as you pointed out most are completely open easy throws

The tweet that used that video wasn't making an argument for Hurts. It highlighted the Steichen 2022 offense.

Defense shifting confuses Hurts. Get to the line with no time to let defense shift...

I mean what I'm about to say as no disrespect for Hurts, but in my honest opinion, the second most important thing about having Fangio on the team, is never having to have Hurts face a team with equally good players, combined with Fangio disguises. It's not all on Hurts there, but I think that'd be his weakness. A lot of Fangio is about making post-snap rotations and making the QB read under pressure, and yeah.......

Yeah...........

These responses were to someone using it to say it shows him doing thing "haters" say he can't do

It's kind of funny how that went. Herbert only had 139 yards passing (106 net) and he had to use his legs more, was their top rusher with 66 yards. He had a 53.6 passer rating.

I get that. Just clarifying since the video was referenced

Is that the same one that was posted a few days ago that showed how AJ still wasn't "open" then either but Hurts was willing to throw the ball? The big difference in the offense is the QB play.

Herbert channeled his inner Nelson Muntz while Hurts didn’t, for some reason — even though he’s done it in the past, and even shown the propensity to default to it.

I expect Hurts to rebound strongly against a bad Raiders team without much to play for.

He'll throw for 190 yards and ask us if that's what we wanna see

What a win by Villanova. I thought they were dead in the water when they were down 14-0.

Against Darius Cooper’s team no less.

And also, I have one more thing to say. I think there's one more unfortunate problem that's more or less showing its head.

I think...Jalen's personality is a bit of a problem. A lot of people for a while really seemed to like the cool stoic kind of personality he has, but I think there's a small issue. I don't want to overblow it, I don't think this is above the other issues but...

Basically. His personality is not built for righting bad situations. Jalen does a lot of preventing you from being in bad situations historically, when combined with the talent his teams have presented him with. But once you get there, he doesn't do a lot to help you get out from a personality perspective. It only really hit me when I heard Foles talk especially, and how in his analysis, he seemed almost "desperate" in a way, like an incessant search for answers. It kind of surprised me, because I know Nick (Foles) also as the type who doesn't get too hot, doesn't get too cold. And then I kind of thought about it, and realized that Brady's kinda like that too, with some different traits. Very hot personality, demanding of excellence, detail obsessive, they're the type to right ships that go sideways as long as people are willing to listen to them.

I think one thing with the 'collapses' is that Jalen doesn't have that. He's not really a galvanizer in that sense. Saquon talked about the sideline energy of the offense being awful, Brady for example didn't stand for that.

It's absolutely not only Jalen that's like that. His personality type among QBs isn't that common, but there's other personality types that aren't great at galvanizing too. But I think that's probably contributing to this too.

I broadly agree with this though there is a solution if someone else takes on the role as Hurts will support it 100% and his stoic determined disposition then becomes a positive multiplier. However, if Hurts has to be the one to sort things out then he just isn't the guy. Given that he is the QB it isn't optimal unless those other leaders clearly exist. Barkley is too nice of a guy and it doesn't help having Brown around chirping. Dean seems to be the guy on the D keeping the Georgia boys in order but we don't really have a guy like that on O.

Hurts isn't playing as well especially since he's clearly lost a step. I agree with you on that. However, the OL is by the far the biggest issue this year in terms of being different from the past few years. Not even close.

Raiders vs. Eagles (Dec 14, 2025) Live Score - ESPN

Week 15, no turning back at this point. Last week was heartbreaking because that was a winnable game. Matter of fact, 3 of the Eagles 5 losses were completely winnable (Broncos, 2nd Cowboys, Chargers). Jalen played one of his worst games, no spinning it. He all the sudden turned into gunslinger. The fact the Eagles were right there to win the game despite losing the turnover battle shows this team is far from done yet. AJ dropped the game winning TD too. But it was a strange game. I don't think I've ever seen a game with 9 turnovers on both sides. The Eagles only had like 3 or 4 turnovers over the first 11 games. They've had 8 in the last two. The NFL knew exactly what they were doing with this Zig/Zig no back to back home game schedule. But I will never give up on this team. Good Times, Bad Times it doesn't matter. 3 losses in a row isn't good but there is still time.

4 games left. Now we got THE RAIDERSSS. The All-Time Series is tied at 7-7. The Raiders are obviously not having a great season at 2-11. But that doesn't mean the Eagles have the luxury to take them for granted. The Eagles need to play like the Raiders are 11-2. Also Pete Carroll has had the Eagles number for years in Seattle. But the Eagles are the better team. Super Bowl Champion Kenny Pickett will get the start as Geno was hurt last week. I don't care if it's by a single point, as the Famous Al Davis said, Just Win Baby. The Defense actually played well last week all things considered. The Offense also did move the ball for the most part despite the turnovers. I'm hoping for the best today. It's going to be cold and snowy so pound that rock. I believe today they FINALLY get out of this funk. I respect Raiders Defense and Pickett is decent but I believe Birds get back on track.

BIRDS - 27

RAIDERS - 13

JALEN - RUSH TD

SAQUON - RUSH TD

AJ - TD

JAKE - FGx2

DEFENSE: INT, MULTIPLE SACKS, FUMBLE

There are plenty of throws over the middle in that video and the gripe was "the receivers were too open” which is the entire point. Yes if receivers are open that’s a good thing. That’s what coaches help with and it’s the entire point of the video. Coaching is the difference. Jalen is the same. Doesn’t mean Jalen is great, just means the common denominator is bad coaching. No matter how hard you try to erase Jalen’s accomplishments as if we didn’t watch them with our own eyes.

He suddenly forgets how to play football whenever there’s a coach with no experience running the offense? Odd.

Again, no one is saying he’s perfect but that video completely erases most of the over the top complaints about what he can’t do. It also clearly highlights the lack of creativity and lameness of the current embarrassment they call an offense. They don’t run hitches constantly because of Jalen, they don’t NOT run motion because of Jalen. He turns his back to the defense just fine there. Was told he wouldn’t do that either.

The narrative that he can’t do anything and Hurts is the reason the offense has no creativity is just scapegoating.

Put McKee in if they think he stinks. I just like wins. If that helps them win then awesome. They better bring some of the that 2022 creativity with them too though if they want it to work.

The current coaching and inured Oline are way bigger problems than the QB. You don’t have to love Hurts current play to acknowledge what he’s done before and pretend he’s Tebow.

Context here is a video showing passing plays and discussing Hurts performance. Speaking of the OL in that sane context, they've been more than fine pass blocking this year.

Here's a picture of me going to the game today.

Yeah but this O is built around being able to run the ball just as it has been the last four years. The fact that we can't consistently run the ball IS the big difference.

If you only want to talk about the difference in the specific play(s) shown in the videos then that's one thing but the poorer play by Hurts isn't the biggest difference in the overall O play.

Couple inches of snow on the ground here in S.Philly and still falling… it’s going to stop and get real cold I suspect, nothing picturesque just annoyance.

This game should put to bed any question of whether or not this team is still committed. If they come in determined and grind out a W then they will go on to win the East and have their shot to win a playoff game taking them one at a time thereafter. Put up a stinker and lose and the season is done.
