His game is akin to building a snow man…which is why I’m not looking down the road a 1 seed scenarios. The longer he sits the more he rusts. He’s playing well right now and you ride that momentum. Good teams beat up bad teams. All good points. On the other side is how he played last season after 2+ almost 3 weeks off, and that was after an injury. Missing a week in week 12, then a week in Week 15 and then a final week in week 18 will not create any rust.

The top competition and defense in that era was a lot stronger as well. Hurts will pass him though and already being to two SBs while winning one puts this very close as is.Ertz. This one isn't particularly close for me. Goedert is a good TE, but he's injury prone and at his best just isn't as good.

5 hours ago5 hr @mattwill Eagles 31 Greenbay 28. Packers try to tie up score with long FG, but it’s wide right. Eagles victory formation eats rest of the clock.

Goedert is a good TE, but he's injury prone and at his best just isn't as good.I think Ertz best was a product of Dougs offense and Wentz not throwing outside the hashes, Ertz was effectively target 2 in the offense, over a five season span that classes as his peak from 2015-2019 Ertz was targetted 619 times, Goedert has never been used to anywhere near that degree. Ertz played 117 games for the Eagles and had 837 Targets, Goedert has played 100 games and been targeted 515 times, Goedert's catch percentage, yards per reception and yards after catch are all better and he's in a different league to Ertz as a blocker (as was Brent Celek who could also legit be in this conversation).Ertz is a big bodied receiver who has got better at blocking but still isn't that good, Goedert is a proper TE.

I never got that vibe with McNabb.
5 hours ago5 hr @mattwill Gotta keep the two game winning streak alive by picking against our Birds again. Eagles: 23 Packers: 24Bonus: Jake Elliott with 3 FGs
5 hours ago5 hr I feel surprisingly confident that we'll beat the Packers. I'm way more worried about the Lions game.

At first blush, you go Ertz, when you dig into it a bit.....it is actually really close.

He wasn’t bad against GB, but he certainly wasn’t ‘good’. It’s not a knock specifically on him, QB is just a rhythm position. We watch week after week him starting slow (the O as a whole too).I personally don’t see the benefit and it’s my if it’s not broke don’t fix it mentality. Right now the team is playing well and firing on all cylinders consistently.

McNabb had the arm to make every throw but not the brain to process consistently how to make that throw. Hurts knows what he can and can’t make. Uses touch and sometimes timing. For as much as we complain about Hurts not throwing unless a WR is completely open unless it’s AJ. McNabb was 1000x times worse. McNabb couldn’t read the field before and after the snap. Hurts, is amazing pre snap and post snap is a mixed bag. Hurts 1 SB…McNabb puked.DG, Ertz was a great volume target but soft after the catch (which is probably why he’s still in the league). DG has shown when needed he can physically take over a game in a very loud way. Ertz just kind of racked up catches and yards.

Sean Peyton coaching the Broncos. About the only thing I think worth watching at this point is Maxx Crosby. I hope in a few years he decides to chase a ring and comes to Philly.I'm not too familiar with either franchise so maybe there is something else worth watching.Score prediction 16-6 Broncos.Close, but it seems like you expected them to score a lot more and, you know, make field goals.

Yes, it's an F1 t-shirt, but what does F1 mean? It's not Formula 1, it's F$#% 1 or F$#% Jalen Hurts. AJ Brown hates Jalen Hurts. Run the story!

3 hours ago3 hr I think people tend to forget how good McNabb was in his prime. He had an excellent arm, and was one of the best scramblers I've ever seen. That being said wasn't nearly the game manager that Hurts is. "Game Manager" gets used as a slur towards QBs sometimes but IMO it's a hugely important skill set. Knowing when to force a throw, when to throw it away, when to audible, when to take off running, when to throw it towards the sidelines etc. Hurts has him in the mental game by a mile. Give me Hurts but still, all respect to McNabb. Ertz wins for me but it's closer than people think at first glance because of Goedert's blocking ability. Had he stayed healthier in his career I could see arguing the opposite.
